1st time in this store . Everything was clean . Everything was stock very well . A very good Selection of fruits and vegetables. The baked goods we tried was very delicious. Seafood looked fresh . So did the very wide variety of meats . The people that worked there was very nice. Next time I’m in town I will shop here again. I wish more store owners put in the time to make everything look so nice like this store does . And the price are very reasonable. Whole Foods store looks nice but you pay for those looks .. This store looks nice and cheap on prices . Win win !

The food is delicious but the lady that puts together the plates is one of the rudest people I’ve ever seen. I used to come and spend $30 on 2 plates at least 3-4 times a week but no more. Nobody wants to be disrespected while trying to spend their money with your business. I could tell everybody else there was sick of her attitude too, she’s going to make you guys lose a lot more business in the future.

Very disappointing that you pay 30.00 for 2 plates of food that is mostly rice and they only give 2 tortillas for all the rice they put on the plate . Won't be back to get a plate again . Do not recommend getting a plate of food here unless you want to pay for 3 extra rolls of 2 tortillas so you can have enough to eat with your food .

My family and I come here often because the food is great, but the place could use a bit of a makeover. For one, we often see bugs flying around, especially near the kitchen. We've never seen a fly in the food, but today there was a fly in my mom's drink! She ordered mango w/ milk. Please do something about this issue!

Stop by today trying to get something to eat from the hot deli, unfortunately the girl that work behind the counter didn't speak a word of english, as a person from another country I understand the difficulty of the language barrier unfortunstely for my wife and I, we end up leaving without getting anything. We were craving for some grilled chicken, try some other cooked foods and some dessert cups by the yummy bakery goodies, you would think pointing our fingers to what we would like to get is easy enough, maybe the manager would teach their employees a few services tricks to service some of the customers that doesn't speak Spanish. Been craving those firewood grilled chicken the past or 4 weeks, oh well 😕

Right off the interstate and easy to find. Went in for the hot lunch. Service was quick and easy. The employee who made my plate did a good job explaining what comes with each plate and was helpful making a suggestion on what was good. She suggested pollo guisado and it did not dissapoint. Delicious! Will definitely come back whenever i pass through baton rouge.

I didnt wanna have to make this review but when I get annoyed as a customer I make these. I do wanna say this place has the best prices for latin goods like cookies,chips drinks etc. The problem is the first time I went for taco tuesday it took a couple minutes to check out because the girl at the register was in the restroom and pregenat which is understandable. I think people should have access to check people out as a backup at certain registers my mother and I finally went to checkout in the front and still dined in. Today being a big event and mexico independance day the tacos de carne asada were being cooked in the front in the parking lot and no one could tell me what the deal was how i would get some when they were done. The guy on the grill said there is some in the back there wasnt any carne asada in the back and even said he had no idea how much they cost. Alot of employee,s were just playing guessing games and I was asking questions in spanish to.

I am from Wisconsin and it’s hard to find good food. This food was great. You get a lot of food for the price. The steak is delicious! The beans are delicious and the rice outstanding! I will be back.

La Ideal on Sherwood Forest Baton Rouge is the Best. Today I was helped by Mr. Alfredo Santos. I spoke with Mr. Santos Yesterday. Told him that my husband is on dialysis 3 times a week. I am in a walker. To make it short: Mr. Santos brought to my car the beef soup( amazing), Carne Asada plate ( delicious) & 10 fresh conchas. The food & services at La Ideal in Sherwood Forests Baton Rouge are the outstanding. Today , after dialysis, I gave my husband 1/2 beef soup. After the first spoon, he looked at me with a big smile. I knew then that the soup was delicious. Thank you Mr. Santos for helping us.
