Terrible service. Lack of communication. Good luck trying to contact these guys. Missing packages, poor service, constant waste of time trying to get a hold of them. Absolutely ridiculous.

I’ve had pleasant interactions with all the postal workers. While there have been lines, that is every post office I’ve ever seen.

Went in to drop off a package and was treated like a nuisance because I asked for a receipt. Big ole woman. Could have easily played center for the Los Angeles Sparks. I almost came across the counter first-class-priority style but then instantly realized I have so much more to live for. I tucked my tail and kicked rocks. Rouses on St. Charles is my new spot moving forward.

Went in to retrieve a package and the two ladies I spoke with gave me attitude for no reason. They both told me that my package wasn't there and tried to hurry me away. Another lady came and offered to look into why my package wasn't there yet. Aside from the last lady that actually helped me this was the worst experience I've ever had at the post office.

I will be leaving two USPS reviews. This one for Lafayette street, wish I could give it - (MINUS) 10 stars. And for the Gray, LA location. (5 stars) This is a review of the counter service. First of all this is a review of one particular clerk. I will post a photo of her in an update. She obviously hates her job and has completely messed her own mind up by thinking that doing the least possible will somehow be better. In fact, doing so just makes a) her miserable and b) forces customers that she mistreats to adapt. She needs some serious therapy to improve her own life and figure out a way to bring joy to her job. She could take a short drive to meet the lady that works at the Gray, LA location. Everyone would be happier if she found a way to emulate her. I will search for an escalation path to try to get the abysmal service at Lafayette St improved. Based on the other reviews with experiences that go back 2 DECADES, this may be a fool’s errand. We’ll see. In the meantime, I’ll drive the extra distance and go to the Gray location.

I live in a complex and it's clear that the mailbox that my landlord has set up is not secure and looks as though it has been altered. All the tenants mail are essentially out in the open together, in one big box. 3 different postal workers, including the mail carrier stated this, and said up until now, that that was in violation and that they'd be contacting the landlord to get a more secure mailbox. Instead of having her put a proper mailbox up, they then changed their tune and said because it's already been established that it's allowed and it's up to the owners discretion. There is also a tenant who knowingly lied and said that the building I and another tenant live in was empty. Kind of sounds illegal to me? The carrier admitted that this conversation happened because another tenant and I wanted to know what was going on because we had not received our mail in a while. They said mail had been sent back because they were told the building was empty by the previous carrier, who said they were told this by one of the tenants who lived here and that in order to get mail we had to fill out vacancy notices. Which is insane. I shouldn't have to fill out anything other than the change of address I filled out over 6 years ago. Some tenants still get mail in their mail slot for previous tenants who haven't lived here in years... literally years, but that's no problem for the post office, oh no, apparently they have a bigger problem delivering mail to actual current tenants, and we have to jump through all kinds of hoops to get our mail delivered? What? Why is the mail labeled as federal, if the post office treat actual security issues with regards to mail so casually and incompetently? It's insane to me how incompetent and inept they are.

My mail always comes 2 days later after It’s out for delivery. It will say out for delivery then they will change it to in transit after it doesn’t get delivered on the expected delivery day. I can clearly see it’s in Houma. My stuff literally sits in the post office for 2 days before I finally get it. Idk if they just don’t have enough employees or what but it’s seriously so annoying. If only USPS wasn’t a government organization. They way they would go out of business and someone else could do the job a million times better.

Would give it a zero if I could. I put outgoing mail in my box & it took them 2 days to pick it up in the middle of the week because they don't pass everyday. I received a notification today that my package was attempted - no access to delivery location, but the mail carrier didn't even pass!!! My street was not blocked nor was my house. I actually had my front door & windows open watching for my delivery today. This isn't the first time I've had problems. I've had problems for the past 5 years and its getting worse.
