In my time using Bangor Federal credit Union, I have used both the Brewer and Hogan Road locations. I have been very pleased with their professionalism. They have taken care of any of my banking needs very well and are friendly as well.

I've been a member of BFCU for almost 20 years as my parents brought me in to open an account as a little kid. I've always had the absolute best service from the whole crew. Whether I have a question with my account, or a mobile deposit doesn't seem to take, the BFCU folks always remedy any problem I have quickly and courteously. Thank you!

When is BFCU restoring KASHSA paying interest to 3%, now that the Fed has raised interest rates? Why hasn't it already been done?

I have always appreciated the service I receive at Bangor FCU. I have been a member for over a quarter of a century. I keep coming back not only for the service but the wide array of products they offer at competitive rates. It truly is a one stop shop for all my financial needs. It also doesn’t hurt that every time I bring my dog in the staff makes a big deal of it in a good way. My kind of people!

I have been using BFCU since I was 21 years old with no credit and bad spending habits and they helped me to become the financially stable person I am today. If it was not for their personal 1:1 touch I would not have been able to get the understanding I needed as a single struggling mother when I started out so long ago. They understood where I was coming from and now I can rely on them to know my name, and give me that same great service regardless of where I am in my life. I am also, so happy to see many of the same great faces over the past 30+ years that I have banked with them, which clearly shows they invest in their team! Travis, for one, has managed many of my loans and now he is the AVP of lending and still takes the time to answer questions when I call. Thank you all for caring about us all at each stage of our lives and giving us great service each step of the way!!

I just refinanced both of my vehicle loans with Bangor Federal Credit Union and the Lending Department went above and beyond to make the experience both easy and beneficial for me.

A terrible bank. I have never felt as disrespected and looked down upon as I did when I banked with this branch. Whoever is in charge of loans (as of 2017) should be fired, his downright disrespectful tone and unwillingness to listen is not what should be represented in customer service. They won't reach out to let you know about an appearance being needed but expect someone to fork over 6000 dollars even though that's 3x their income. Crooks, will never reccomend.

This bank continues to hold payments when you go outside Maine even although they were told. Cannot speak to anyone at weekends. Their fraud department phones me and I authorize payment and next I am told payment was denied. Changed my address and did $1.30 charge to the PO , again denied. The worst bank I have ever had the misfortune to use withdrawing every penny from my accounts.

UPDATE: Originally, I left a negative review of this institution due to an error on the credit union's end. It was, however, NOT a financial error and was immediately corrected when they caught wind of it. I received a phone call from a manager (Mr. Abbott) and the entire situation was swiftly resolved. Apart from the initial confusion, my one and only experience here (a personal loan) was very smooth and professional. I will most definitely be doing business here in the future and would highly recommend it. It was a very reasonable credit union to utilize.

Absolutely the Worse credit union I've ever worked with. Crooks, if you understand how other credit unions work "with you". Never ever have I been treated so badly by a bunch of money hongers. Lie and cheat and STEAL.. Please Janet Mills INVESTIGATE!
