I used to go when it was Brookville Inn, we loved the food, service and decor. We had lots of partys there and it was always enjoyable. After it was sold i went about 2 years ago with a friend for dinner and it was mediocre at best. 2 years later my friend visiting form California and I decided to try it again for lunch. The lunch was one of the worst lunches I’ve ever had. The ceasar salad was so bad i couldn’t even eat it. I never got a refill on my drink. The only thing that was even decent was the split pea soup and it was overpriced and very small. I will never come back and i would never recommend it to anyone. My granddaughter and her friends went there for her birthday and they didn’t find this food enjoyable either. You need new kitchen staff asap.

Keep driving for ten minutes into Olney. The view and ambiance are nice on the way in but not enough to negate the feeling that we were bothering them and Inerupting their day. This was our second experience here with the same results. Food is basic and you can get that anywhere without attitude from staff. We asked for a manager. She literally played victim as if we asked for our food to take 45 min. and drinks to take 20 min. Keep driving and don't stop.

We went there for a Christmas dinner with friends from out of town because it looked so festive and pretty. The service and ambiance was fine, but the food was just not good. My steak was all fat, the crab dip had an inch of thick cheese covering it that we had to remove, the crab cake was sub par by MD standards, and the fish and chips was Long John Silver quality. We won’t be back unless we read that they have a full kitchen and menu overhaul. Really sad about it because it could be great, but just isn’t.

We held our wedding reception at Silo Falls, and we are so happy we did. Their event planner, Alex, was great to work with over the whole year of planning, and the staff took such great care of us and our family during the reception. The surrounding grounds made for excellent photo opportunities, and our guests raved about the food. We were even able to drop off our supplies and decorations the day before and pick them up the day after the wedding---a HUGE help and an unusual consideration that we haven't seen with other venues. We will recommend them to everyone looking for an event venue.

The venue was very nice. However, the food was mediocre at best. My wife had the quiche and you would expect to get a slice of quiche. She got a quiche that was the size of a pot pie and looked like it could have been frozen. I got fish and chips. The fish was ok as was the Cole slaw. The fries were not that good. I would have rather had McDonalds. We were hopeful we would have a new non-chain restaurant to go to. I don’t think we will be back.

Had a great date night here. Crab cake was delicious, as well as the spinach crab dip and ribs! Very nice and quick service.

Was here for Father's day. First of all the surroundings are beautiful, the team have clearly done a lot of work to make this a picturesque place and the gardens and ambiance is relaxed and great to hang out in and take family pictures. It seems casual with a fancy vibe. Perfect for an occasion like Father's day. We sat out back on the patio. The crowd was relaxed and happy. However the quality of the food doesn't match the surroundings and this is the bummer about Silo Falls. We arrived at the place really ready to eat, because it was a special occasion. My wife had "heard good things" about this place. So we were surprised given our impressions walking in, to see a menu that was closer to a hybrid Saturday-brunch-at-local café meets-sports-bar, as opposed to slightly fancier, 1pm on a Sunday, Father's day. Ok, that's fine. Expectations reset, let's roll with it. We didn't order any appetizers because none of the options seemed appealing. Captain crunch breading with coca cola BBQ sauce as a feature item on Father's day is not gonna float my boat. Ok, no worries, just skip to the entrees and let's go. So we ordered eggs benedict (x3), a Caesar salad and my youngest son ordered the chicken tenders. Eggs benedict looked good as you can see from the photo below, but taste wise it was a case of "Okay, not great". However the kids meal (chicken tenders) was an over-salted, dried piece of chicken that my son didn't even half-finish because it wasn't tasty. It was also supposed to come with fries that never arrived. Seems like a sandwich place based on other orders coming out, so maybe we should have ordered that. I don't really want to eat sandwiches on Father's Day. Rarely do I eat dessert, but given the experience of the main meals, we decided to take the family elsewhere. So we drove back into Silver Spring and hit one of our reliable spots.

Being invited to an evening of enjoyment, I was pleasantly surprised at all of the seating arrangements and eating experiences that can be arranged at this restaurant. From sitting at the bar, or enjoying a light fare on the patio in front of the restaurant, or eating under the tents on the grounds which was where our party of six was seated. I noticed little conversation and seating arrangements in the restaurant/mansion, as well as, on the beautiful grounds. I could easily see a beautiful wedding or special occasion be coordinated here. The food and service was wonderful! I can't wait to plan a nice afternoon here again soon!

Lots of space to spread out and with no waiters, I don't feel rushed to vacate my table. At busy times, we have a folding bistro table set in the trunk for sitting further out on the grounds.

Pleasantly surprised. Noticed people sitting outdoors on our drive up to Sykesville MD to visit family. So we decided to check it out on our way back home to Virginia for an outdoor venue to have dinner. We encountered a beautiful setting and an enjoyable evening dinner. Looking forward to returning on our next trip into Maryland.
