Scott was so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable in training our dogs. Scott came to our house because our three year old Yorkshire Terrier, Bailey, had become a Yorkshire “Terror.” Scott imparted so much information to us about dog behavior, human behavior and he showed us how to use a leash as a tool in behavior modification. Our session was two hours long and it has been the best investment in time and money we could have made. Since our session with Scott, Bailey has been calmer, more content and obedient. If you are willing to be honest about you and your families contribution to your dogs unwanted behaviors, are willing to listen and follow the guidance Scott teaches and be diligent using the tools he gives you, the relationship with your dog will be much improved and loving, in a positive way. Scott was amazing with our 2 Airedale Terriers! We called Scott to help us with some standard things, such as jumping on people when they walk in the door, barking at other dogs, pulling on the leash, etc. These are all things that no dog owner wants their dog to do. After our 2 hour session, our 2 pups were exhausted and retained almost everything he taught them! Now it's up to us to keep it going. He provided us with new techniques and brought some of his own equipment for us to try and see if it would help, which it did. He was patient and answered all of our questions and made sure we were completely satisfied before leaving. We highly recommend Scott for all your dog training needs, big or small!

Scott isn't just the trainer your dog needs, he's the trainer YOU need. Let's be honest, the majority (all?) of a dog's behavioral issues are really due to our (the owner's) issues. Scott's straightforward, no-nonsense approach really works. He breaks it down for you, teaches you how to read your dog, shows you what you're doing incorrectly, and how you should do it instead. The improvement in my ability to handle my dog was immediate.

Scott (Owner) was amazing! After two other trainers that were a waist of time Scott had my dogs behaving within the first 10 minutes into my home. Show us how to get back control over our dogs and how to put rules to everything in there lives. They are different dogs and as long as we stay on top of them all will be fine. Scott was great!!! Within less then 5 minutes in our home he had total control of our out of control dog. He covered in fine detail how to put rules to everything in our dogs life as well as teaching us how to correct our pet. I would HIGHLY recommend Scott (Dogs On The Mark - Dog Training) to anyone with dog obedience problems. We now have a well behaved dog that is getting better and better every day. Scott has been my go to trainer for the past 6 years and I can tell you that Scott Burgess is, without a doubt the BEST dog/human trainer out there. But there is a catch..you have to be willing to work, to listen to his instruction, to work with your dog/s when he is not there, and accept the fact that most of the training is for us humans. But I can guarantee that if you follow his instruction and accept his method of training, which is the pack way, you will have an amazing life with your fur kid. Since working with Scott, he has helped train and re-train (mainly me and my husband and our pack), which has consisted of 4 rescue (female) dogs, two of which have tried to kill each other (he taught us how to reestablish control) and most recently 2 black lab puppies we brought in when we lost 2 senior dogs this past summer. As you will see in the pics below, we can bring the puppies food into their pen, make them sit and wait (without touching their food for as long as we want), release them to eat AND we can have them leave eating their food at any point. Thanks to Scott. The only regret you will have is not having Scott work with your dog.
