I’ve been attending weekly kickboxing classes with Sihing Eliot for a year and a half, it’s a fantastic workout incorporating bag work, cardio, Kung fu and some yoga. Eliot opened my eyes to the importance of stretching and flexibility and is super encouraging (my flexibility was shocking when I started!) The class is fun with a welcoming family feel, we have a laugh and leave feeling great Eliot is just the loveliest person, he cares about the community and is a wonderful instructor, I’m hoping my daughter will attend his kids Kung fu classes in the future

Sihing Eliot is an excellent teacher who is approachable and supportive while still maintaining discipline and encouraging his students to work super hard towards personal achievements. It's a real community-centered, supportive, non-competitive approach which works really well for me. Plus, it's a great workout! I am in better shape now than I have been in years.

UPDATE: We have now been at the school for more than 4 years. In that time Metrowest Kung Fu has become an integral part of our life. Community is very important to Sihing Eliot and we are thrilled to be a part of the community that has been cultivated at the school. Classes are well run and organized, even during these times of remote learning which presents many challenges. I am always impressed with how Eliot thinks about how the students and his school can support each other, especially now. My son loves the Kids Kung Fu classes with Sihing Eliot. He is learning about self discipline and respect as well as Kung Fu. Sihing Eliot does a wonderful job keeping my talkative, high spirited child engaged and on task.

I am a woman in her 40s and was looking to get in a good workout but also enjoy something a little more focused on form and if possible, a spiritual/mindful aspect as well. I get all of that by taking the kickboxing classes and I honestly love them. It is a nice cardio workout but incorporates some Kung Fu practice as well, so it isn't just whaling on a bag. Eliot, the owner is a fantastic instructor. He is super encouraging and really kind but isn't afraid to tell you things that will make you better. Unfortunately the Tai Chi and Kung Fu classes aren't working with my current schedule, but I would honestly take any class he offered. I always leave feeling so much better. It is something I truly look forward to every week. Prior to enrolling, I called Eliot to see if it would be a good fit. He spent a lot of time on the phone with me explaining how things work and listening to me to see what I was looking for as well. It was a really nice way to get to know him and his business. I will also add he is super organized. He runs a great business. His website is awesome, it's always up to date and his facebook page is excellent. Nothing but good things to say about this place!

This is an excellent school to study Tai Chi and Kung Fu for all ages and abilities. Sihing Eliot is an experienced and enthusiastic martial artist. He provides a good balance between traditional martial arts and applications. Kung Fu classes consist of a good warmup that builds strength and flexibility followed by a mix of Kung Fu skills and forms. Weapons and Sparring are each done 2 days a week. Tai Chi classes have a gentle warmup with a mix of slow warmup movements and various breathing exercises. The remaining part of the class is usually practicing individual postures, doing forms, push hands and martial applications. The main Tai Chi style is Yang and you will learn 5 of the shorter Yang forms (not the 108). After that you will usually study Tai Chi sword, a short Sun form and a short Chen form. Movements are taught individually so you can focus on the movement independent of the form as well as within the context of the form. Regular review of movements is done to refine them. In addition push hands is done periodically and applications of the Tai Chi movements are practiced so you will understand the martial side of the art. The school environment is very warm and welcoming. Sihing Eliot is very good about accommodating people that have physical limitations such as prior injuries or who are not in good physical shape. For the record I studied martial arts for about 18 years before taking a 25 year break so I feel that I have enough prior experience to know if a school has high quality martial arts instruction. I've been at this school for 3 years and highly recommend it.

I have known Sihing Eliot Prisby for nearly 8 years, and have trained side-by-side with him throughout. He is a martial artist of the highest integrity. And he cares for each and every one of his students greatly. His school is excellent!

My son started taking Kids' Kung Fu last month. It has been wonderful for him! Sihing Eliot is extremely kind, patient, and encouraging. He is exceptionally good with children who need more behavioral or social support. He teaches safety, discipline, and respect and makes it FUN!! My son looks forward to his classes all week! I highly recommend Metrowest Kung Fu!

I've been looking for a good place to learn martial arts, get in shape, and not entirely break myself because I'm not 21 anymore (my knees aren't great and back could be better). I found that and more at Metrowest Kung Fu: Sihing Eliot is a natural teacher, and fosters a positive environment that drives everyone to push themselves to improve, get stronger and learn. The stretching and overall strength training have made my knees and back feel a lot better, and I find myself looking forward to each class - for a guy like myself who hates exercise, that's saying a lot.
