We had the best time on two charters. We were lucky enough to have a great time with both Captain Chad and Captain Jesse. They were kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Both made sure to include our groups specific interests (birds, etc) on our trips. Thanks for an amazing time, we can’t wait to return.

Outstanding time, saw three species of whale, and our skipper Chad was top notch! Recommend the private charter, pricey but worth it

Captain Jesse was an excellent guide! He was extremely knowledgeable about marine biology and his love of the ocean and Cape Cod was infectious. Very good with families and children!

Good communication experience - I had to email them for a query regarding group bookings and recieved a reply within a few minutes. Website gives all the appropriate details and has the relevant online booking forms and disclaimer notices. Would be good to have a general QnA page but they do include info for what to expect and what to bring. Nothing really to complain about. Didn't end up booking as they only have one vessel available to charter, which is a shame, so can't comment on the actual whale watching excursion itself.

These folks will not respond to your questions about weather and rescheduling for days. Then send you a confirmation the day before that tells you to bring your own life jacket (ie find a place to buy one at the last minute out of town). And then call the day of hours before your charter and cancel due to weather for your safety. Safety is great. Customer service is weak at best. The explanation was that they had too many other charters to reschedule so they couldn’t return our early inquiries about rescheduling. Seems that they have good reviews for taking you out but generally poor reviews for customer service and attitude. If you are ok with rude then give this outfit go. If you are looking for a professional outfit that understands people travel far to see them, look elsewhere. They should also consider updating their cancellation policy—which states that they will help you book elsewhere. Completely false. Telling someone to google another outfit with a larger boat is pretty weak.

Incredible experience. We saw twelve humpback whales and a fin whale during a 3-hour evening charter with captain Jessy. He took us to the ocean nearby - in safe distance - to many whales, was friendly, knowledgeable and even knew the names and personal history of most whales. He also took out trash we saw out of the ocean so it won’t harm sea animals. Highly recommended!

Being given the opportunity to do a partial charter or a full one is amazing. You're on a tiny boat, the getting to the whales part is fun, being at the same level as the whales is amazing and not having to push anyone around to see the activity is just incredible. Will do it again absolutely.

My husband and I went whale watching with seasalt charters last August. We had gone with the dolphin fleet years before and had a great time but wanted a more intimate experience. We were the only two who had signed up for the small group tour the day we were in town and seasalt charters was nice enough to accommodate us. We saw a ton of whales and some much more close and personal than we had ever expected. The reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 is that we are accustomed to a certain level of customer service that we felt just wasn't quite met. Our Captain was nice but not very interactive. For us, part of the whale watch experience is education. We like to learn about the amazing creatures we are viewing. Also, the trip was on the short side of the time range we were given (despite the fact that there were still multiple whales around the boat for viewing). And for the amount of money we paid, we felt the trip should have been on the longer end of the range.

By far...the best chartered trip I ever took. Captain Chad was great! We saw more whales then we thought! Can't wait to come back next year

Captain Chad and SeaSalt Charters is the way to go! It was worth every penny and I would happily go again. We were limited to just one day to try the whale watching and I was worried about the weather and nervous that our trip would be cancelled due to the conditions. Captain Chad kept us up to date on the conditions and was very patient with all my questions. There were 6 of us and we all agree it was an absolutely amazing experience. Captain Chad took time to explain the history of the waterway, showed us different animals around the area, and explained the behaviors and even names of the whales we were seeing. We were able to view non-stop whale activity up close! It was beautiful, exciting, and even scary seeing how big they were next to our boat and yet so graceful. Wow!
