Good food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Nice having horses nearby to admire from one of the brightly colored picnic tables.

Just found this place, AWESOME for kids, all ages, it would honestly be a great place to plan a group play date there’s so many things for them to play with, plenty of shady seating for parents and the prices are very reasonable! I got a kiddie size ice cream cone and it was huge! Love this place so happy to have found it.

This is a Fantastic place for kids to run around and have a blast. We brought our 2 year old son who was amazed with all of the structures on property to enjoy and play in. Captain Bonneys has a nice selection of foods - no fried stuff though - and Delicious ice cream in a great variety of flavors. an added bonus is the horse stables behind the play area, which are sure to give the children an added diversion. worth a visit ! We went back again on a Friday night , great to see the place very busy, but still offering great, quick service on their food and ice cream. The children all love playing on the various houses and structures in the back of the building. Make sure to stop in soon !

So, one day we went on a nature walk and there was an ice cream place called Captain Bonneys Ice Cream. Said ice cream place was awesome! First, there was a nature walk 2 mins away, amazing right? Second, there is toddler heaven aka a large playground for toddlers. Third a little field and a horse village. For that I will give this place 5 stars. *whispers* Would give 10.

Stopped for ice cream! Had a small chocolate chip cookie dough in a sugar cone! 😋 The small was at least a medium elsewhere! Excellent ice cream! Wife and I will be stopping back for the lobster roll at $13.50 !

Rochester is a quaint little town just west of Wareham and east of New Bedford. There's not much to this farming community, so when we went searching for ice cream there was a lot in Wareham and New Bedford, but only Captain Bonneys near Rochester. This roadside creamery has a large variety of ice cream options for even the pickiest eaters. And their ice cream comes from 2 different local creameries, both of which have delicious options. They also serve food with some of the lowest prices we've seen yet. Beyond all of that, the kids will love you for stopping. They have tons of playsets, toys and games to play with. And it all sits just in front of a working horse stable, so through the fence they'll get to see dozens of horses. Captain Bonneys is a bit off the beaten track, but it's worth the journey for good food, ice cream and an hour of fun for the little ones.
