Outstanding Indian food here in Birmingham! I have tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, Mattar Paneer, Paneer Makhani, and Chicken Vindaloo—all were very good. These dishes come with rice, but I highly recommend ordering Naan, as well. Our preference is the Garlic Naan. If you are a lover of Indian food this is a great place to try in the metro Detroit area and if you've never tried it before, this is a great place to start! Vegetarian options: A plethora of vegetarian options. I'm not a vegetarian, but I often will get these dishes because they are so delicious!

Today, I got touched by India. I ordered the chicken tiki masala with 3-4 spice level and was not disappointed. The chicken and rice paired perfectly with the flavorful garlic naan, satisfying my hunger. If I could give this place six stars I would.

It pains me to write this as Touch of India used to be my favorite Indian restaurant in Michigan. I gave it 5 stars over and over and recommended it to everyone I knew. The last time that I ordered, my normal items just did not taste right. I chalked it up to being an off day for the kitchen. Today I tried again and everything was basically inedible. I had to throw away almost $40 worth of food that normally would have lasted me for multiple meals. The Chicken Makhani used to be the absolute best, so flavorful, not bland like a normal "butter chicken". Today, all it tasted like was sweet butter. There was no spice, there were no flavors, it tasted like eating saucy sweet lard. The garlic naan normally comes with a nice char, a little crispy. This one was thick dough, no crisp, chewy, the garlic was not even browned on top. Was more comparable to a frozen dinner flatbread pizza. The veggie samosas were also almost inedible. They used to be thin crispy shells stuffed with potatoes, peas, and spices. Today the shell was thick, chewy, doughy and they were stuffed with flavorless green beans, carrots, and peas, and corn. I had to smother everything completely in the green chutney sauce, which in itself was way more bland than normal today, it usually brings the heat and has a ton of flavor. Even the rice is usually so flavorful, today, bland. I did call and ask if there was a change in ownership or recipes. the gentleman told me that there had been a change in ownership a few months ago but that the recipes shouldn't be much changed, even though there was only one of the same employees. He also stated the head chef had called in sick today. Since the normal chef was sick today, I will give my old favorite place one last try to see if they still prepare the same amazing recipes I have loved for the past 10 years or if this new ownership tanked the place. Will update my review based on my next experience.

Delicious food, great service, and I can walk from my office in Birmingham! The curry dishes that I have tried have a tomato base and mix well with rice and nan for a filling lunch. I Definitely would recommend them!

The food was delicious!! It was my first time visiting Birmingham and thought of giving this place a go. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food. Loved the daal and naan. I will definitely go back to taste more of their food. The owner was also very friendly and accommodating.

Loved the lentil soup and vegetable pakora! Lots of depth and fresh ingredients. Friend said the goat biryani was delicious. Our server was so sweet. Will definitely be back ❤️

I’ve eaten at Indian restaurants all over the USA and in fact much of the world. The Quality of the food was outstanding. We got the butter chicken and it’s always a bit of a gamble to say mild or medium. Medium at one restaurant does not necessarily correlate with another. They were a bit concerned that it was gonna be too spicy for us but our waiter recommended mild plus and brought some type of chopped peppers to add just in case. It was perfect. Classic example of one of those places you walk into and you’re just not quite sure. No worries. Very high-quality ingredients and a chef that knows what they are doing!!

The most delicious Indian food in town! You must try this place. There are new owners with the same chef as before the purchase. Absolutely delicious and good prices!

Wow! The hours for this restaurant are way off. Went there at 1:00 am because Google said they are open now. Found the timings weird but still drove there since it was close to our apartment. Tried to suggest an edit with the correct hours. Funny part is, the Google hours are wrong and the hours posted on the poster in the window is way off from the hours posted on the menu kept outside. I think even they are not sure what time they are open 😂
