Always closed. This branch should be permanently closed. This is the fifth time i visited this location and it was closed with a note saying closed due to staffing issues. Ridiculous.

Don’t bother trying to submit your passport application at the Birmingham, MI post office. I made an appointment three weeks ago and I received a call the day of to inform me that my appointment was canceled due to staffing issues. I made another appointment for the following week, and received a phone call saying it was canceled for the same reason - as I was pulling into their parking lot. I asked why they are allowing appointments to be made on their website and was told they have no control over it. Such a waste of time!

I have no idea why, but this must be the worst post office in America. I will drive 20+ minutes to find a different post office.

Got here at 2:30pm on a Saturday when the hours say open until 3:30pm but the counters were completely closed and nobody working the office at all.

Don’t book your passport appt here. After setting it up a week before, they canceled due to staffing issues the morning it was supposed to be. Now we have to start the finishing an appt process over and hope it doesn’t get canceled.

I went there recently and there was only one person behind the counter and there were two other USPS employees standing around out in the lobby telling the occasional person what to do with their package. This is very possibly the worst post office ever. It's too bad because the old post office near the Baldwin Library was very well run.

If you have pre-paid packages this post office is very convenient. They have the self-serve kiosk, with package drop box, so you don't have to wait in a long line if you need a receipt. Make sure your packages aren't too big. Boxes 16Lx12Wx6H are the largest ones I can fit in the drop box.

I go to this USPS location often because it is near my office. It is always busy and there is almost never more than one employee working, even when the line is more than 10 people long. The employees are all very nice, but it is ridiculous how long you have to wait in line to mail one item. I’m in line right now and the person in front of me has been at the counter for over 30 minutes. I have never experienced such a shortage of staff at any other post office. I would recommend driving the extra 10 minutes to another post office to save yourself from waiting in line for 45 minutes.

More often than not, at all times of the day, there is a single person working here with a slow line all the way to the door. Spending an hour here just to get a receipt for a package drop off is a miserable existence. One person can hold the line up for an entire hour. The single person working here is always nice. But they need more people. It’s crazy. Absolutely crazy. Go to the Royal oak post office downtown. More clerks.
