This post office has definitely made some improvements! The front desk clerks are nice, friendly, and helpful. I just wish they would place a self scan kiosk here for prepaid shipping customers.

My husband and daughter went on 5/29 for passport services and I went with my son last Friday. We both had Ziggy. He was quick, on time and polite during our appointments. I haven't had any experience with the actually post office but for passports it was great!

Bad attitude and rude ! I go in here often since I live two minutes away, and every time I do I Leave there asking myself why do I keep Coming in here ? Today was the last straw , whoever helped me today had such a bad attitude towards me the second I walked up to her window. I’m always very polite and they have no excuse to talk to people rudely like the way they do. I will drive out further just so I don’t get my day ruined by people who don’t care about customers service . She works at the second window to the right .

Rude clerks. This is not the first experience with blatant rudeness I have experienced here but the first time I am taking a moment to write a review about it. Just a bit of unsolicited advice: get out of customer service if you apparently dislike helping CUSTOMERS. The Postal Service is a massive entity and I KNOW there are plenty of other clerk positions that require way less customer one on one.

Just spent 30 minutes Monday morning waiting for this post office in Berkley to open. They were supposed to be open at 9:00am but no one showed up for work today— except for their reliable maintenance individual. Well over a dozen other people came through the post office in the time I waited also needing to send out their parcels. One of the women said the exact same thing happened to her already just a couple weeks ago. I really don’t understand why this post office receives such good reviews. I have never found the employees to be particularly helpful or pleasant. Perhaps the people putting up “friendly neighborhood post office” reviews have not lived in many places outside of metro Detroit area.

The staff have always been very friendly, and I typically have no issues, but this situation was frustrating-- I sent two packages priority mail, was told at the post office they would arrive 1-2 days. (One was only going from Berkley to Royal Oak, the other to Charlevoix.) It's been 5 days and neither package has been delivered or has a status on when they may arrive. I called USPS, was put on hold for 2 hours, only to be told there was never a guarantee the packages would arrive between 1 and 2 days. It would have been great if I was told this at the office when I sent them out to mail. I was told I could have found this information on the USPS website, that I couldn't get any money back, and that there was nothing they could do. I didn't receive any information as to why the packages had been delayed for so long.

It's a relatively small post office with limited but congenial staff. That's not a problem when they're not busy or you don't need to go to the counter. Yesterday's line was to the entrance and there was only one person at the counter. Not good but it is the holidays. Parking is super convenient.
