I took my car here thinking of I can expect my car would be repaired completely. I paid $1600 to get it fixed. Two weeks later, I'm taking it back in because of some ticking noise. I replace my alternator and a belt. Now they say it's a timing chain that needs to be replaced. $2100 you mean to tell me you didn't notice that when you replace the alternator. Coming from another technician, I was told that you gentlemen had to know that I need a timing chain Belt.You can't trust any auto repair shop nowadays. I'm in tears, but it's a lesson learned not to trust anyone. I have 2013 Buick...update my Alternator wasn't replaced by these people. Please DON’T TRUST THESE PEOPLE Dwayne is the owner and he is very disrespectful. They would not give me information on where he purchased the alternator. I knew something was fishy when they refuse to give me information on the purchase of the alternator. Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Grosse Pointe Auto repair helped me extract broken bolts from a DIY valve cover gasket job gone horribly wrong lol. They tapped each broken bolt which is a very meticulous job, they did it right and finished my valve cover replacement for me— my Accord drives like new and I’m pleased. They were kind, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this shop if you care about your car being in the hands of skilled mechanics. Service: Engine repair

Amazing, everyone is very professional and my car was well cared for. Everyone was so nice. I will definitely be bringing my car back for any additional repairs so may need In the future. I did bring my car back for further repairs and this time I have been very dissatisfied. My car has been in the shop 3 and half weeks, almost a month, for a 4 day repair. I have been in constant contact with my warranty company and I am the one getting parts ordered. What does the secretary guy do exactly. Who's running this place. I am a 1st time customer. The guys at Grosse Pointe Auto are amazing. My car wouldn't start at all and they were still able to get me in and out same day at a very reasonable price. I am extremely happy that I found this place! I had some suspension issues I explained what was going on they checked it out and gave me a run down and for once I didn't feel like I was getting the run around. When your a female bringing your car into a shop it's not always easy to trust what your being told. When I got my baby back the difference was night and day! These guys are absolutely outstanding: professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, AND honest! They may not be the cheapest shop in town but remember, auto repair definitely falls into the "you get what you pay for" category. I found them when I lived in the neighborhood and even when I moved over 70 miles away, I continued to schlep all the way to GPP. They are that good! And a special shout out to Rick for always being so kind and patient!
