Been here several times, First, we order pizza, then I order hambburger & pork to go. While I'm shopping in the hardware-section the old-man is outside filling-up the tank with gas, filling the leaky tire with air and checking the oil and window-wash- solvent...then, The old man gets a couple scratch-offs to go.

The BEST little restaurant anywhere! We went in at 10 am for breakfast. All 11 of us 😁 We had a terrific breakfast & coffee. Totally worth stopping here. Serves lunch & dinner also, and has a small bakery/deli with excellent home goods, along with all the usual general store items.

Whipples is awesome! All the basics and then some. Wonderfully kind and helpful people. Has a hardware store. Great place to stop in for fuel and food near the ORV trails. They have a kitchen / dining area in the back for wings, burgers, pizza etc.. Also carry some gluten free basics. Reasonanable prices. Appreciate them being way out here!

Meat is old and mostly past expiration date. Store is dark and dirty. If we had a competent health inspector in Missaukee County, they would shut Whipple's down in a heartbeat. Always remember to count your change because they are notorious for shortchanging their customers. If you pay with plastic, remember to ask for your receipt as they like to add items to your purchases that you never bought (credit card chicanery).
