My sisters and I went there for the first time and it was the absolute best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Kathy was our server and she was the sweetest. She made sure we was doing alright and we had great conversations with her. The food was amazing as well. Definitely recommend!

We were lucky to visit Axel's on a Sunday evening. The atmosphere, warm, inviting and thoroughly relaxing. The food, terrific...grilled asparagus and filet cooked precisely as requested. By far, The BEST part of the experience was the incredible friendly, welcoming, staff. Our every need was attended to without having to ask. Kathy, Shelley, and Ian were some of the most accommodating and congenial wait staff I have ever encountered. Pleasant doesn't begin to describe their demeanor. Not only were they attentive, they were charming and delightful. We will definitely be back!

I had my heart set on the amazing carrot cake for my birthday. We drove 20 mins to get this slice of goodness. Come to find out they were closed early. I ask if I could get two slices to go and they could 100% say no. Instead they said yes and I was able to have delicious carrot cake for my birthday. The service is amazing and I would 100% recommend you go. Plus, the food is incredible. I recommend the bull bites.

Good food, slow service. The staff is not really to blame since the problem was that there were too few of them relative to the Friday night crowd. That said, if you have the time, the food is good. The huge popovers with the cinnamon sugar compound butter were delicious. I had the tasty prime rib (a more than generous "petite" portion) with lovely garlic mashed potatoes and green beans.

DO NOT COME HERE! My brother and I came here for Easter brunch as this was a spot our mom once loved before she passed away. We both got the brunch buffet and an orange juice and the bill came out to $120. We both dished up a plate and the food was cold and had no flavor, even the bacon. How does one make bacon with no flavor? After sampling the food and literally gagging, we skipped to desert because the Pecan Pie looked great. We also got cheesecake and lemon merange pie. There was quite literally NO TASTE in any of the 3. This was the first time in history someone spit out cheesecake. There was as 18% charge tacked on for Easter I am sure that the manager would not remove. When I spoke to the manager he offered to remove the drinks and that was all he could do. Bill was still 108 bucks before tip and I am so upset that I want to stand out front and tell people to go somewhere else. They will serve you dogs food with the servers smelling the smoke with dirty hands and clothes and not discount anything for poor service and tasteless food. AND they will charge you way more than anyone else and not even have a prime cut of meat, just dry ham and cold turkey. You have been warned!

We haven't been here in a long time! Happy to be back! Service was excellent. Nancy was really busy but checked in with us often. She paced the meal well. The food was excellent! Steak was really tender and done to perfection! The sauce with the steak was delicious! Didn't feel rushed.

Fancy upscale restaurant with cloth napkins and table cloths very dark inside, dark wood furniture thankfully white floors. Will not be a good atmosphere the aged especially people with parkinson's or the beginning stages of dementia or poor eyesight. They serve mammoth popovers with maple butter. Very attentive staff delicious food. We had the walleye, generous portions, busy place attached to a Doubletree Hotel.

Saw a lot of reviews about poor service, decided to take a gamble on it anyways, and was super disappointed. Server got triple sat, which doesn’t really inspire a sense of great management. One of our drinks was not served until like 20 min after the others. Food took 40 min to arrive, and parts of it came out cold. Some orders were wrong. I had the Walleye and was very underwhelmed, especially for the price. Server did hook it up with free dessert, and I will say the carrot cake was phenomenal. However, it would have gone a long ways had she just checked in with us once to ask how the food was. Will not be visiting again.

Excellent birthday party at Axel's. Superb food. Fantastic service. Great drinks! Crab cakes delicious! Coconut Shrimp to die for! Quality Filet of Beef!
