Their great when your animal is healthy they love getting paid for shots and check up’s however when your animal is sick they seem to not be able to get to them, they tell you to bring them in the next day completely unbelievable!

Vet misdiagnosed pet with pancreatitis after giving a history of bone ingestion . Did not do a cxr ( against national guidelines) and proceeded to continue treatment despite worsening condition. Upgraded antibiotic without culture results( against national vet consensus guidelines ) My pet almost died , and was admitted to ms vet hospital with foreign body in esophagus , perforation , mediastinitis and pus in thorax (multi drug resistant strain .)He had emergent foreign body removal , bilateral chest tubes and a feeding tube placed. After $8000 bill and a5 day ICU stay , he is home with a long road ahead with additional vet expenses and monitoring required. This vet’s negligence and incompetence ( Dr Strudivent and Dr Haven) led to malpractice and harm to my pet both physically and me financially. My pet was admitted and given fluids and medicines by Dr Stridivent early on , and he never thought to do more tests and actually discharged him on a Friday afternoon saying he was better ! He refused to do additional testing when I asked him to 5 days later when my pet was groaning and in distress. Finally on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I refused to take dog home and Dr Johnson was only one who said we need to go to MS Vet hospital and referred us. I am a physician and I know that although these vets( Strudivent and Haven) did not have mal-intent, they were incompetent ,negligent , committed imalpractice and nearly killed my pet as a consequence. Many families would not have had $8000 to spend on their furr baby ,and their pet would be six feet under today . Beware and choose your vet carefully. I would never want this to happen to someone else’s loved one. I agree we are all human and make mistakes in diagnosis ,but to not follow national guidelines and be so stubborn and arrogant when the family is telling you something is wrong is unforgivable in my books

Dr. Johnson may be the best vet in the state of Mississippi. He has taken care of our dog for years, and is honest, caring, and everything a vet should be. I have recommended him to so many people over the years, and not one of them has had a negative thing to say, in fact someone even drives from Tupelo to see him! I highly recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone.

Saw Dr Johnson, they actually worked me in. I was so happy with the way he treated our dog, Sophie, and me. May not have gotten answers we wanted, but we are happy with our sweet girl. Thanks to Dr Johnson for making me feel better.

The staff are attentive and loving toward our dog. The doctor took great care to remove a tumor and stitch him up. Thank Gid, the tumor was benign and also for this great group who took care of our little guy.

I have given this vet clinic 3-4 chances & each time have had horrible experiences. Primarily w/ the staff & once w/ both staff & the doctor. The first time I ever went, I took my dog for routine check ups/vaccinations & never once was introduced to anyone working on my dog. She was taken to the back for each thing (heartworm check, weight, vaccinations), & I never once got the name of the girl taking her back or even laid eyes on the doctor. Another incidence I had taken her in & was told I needed to bring her back the next day to drop her off to be seen (which is totally fine), but they open at 7:30 & I need to be on the road to work by then. I arrived immediately before 7:30 (about 7:28a). Since they were expecting me I called to see if I could just drop her off; no one answered the phone (again, that’s totally fine), but then at 7:31-7:32 the door was still locked when I tried to go inside. Then one of the workers unlocked the door & ran back behind the counter before I could even open the door. They then stared at me like I was crazy & acted like they had no idea what I was taking about. I have since found an use a new vet clinic; however, this one is less than a mile from my home so when I woke up this am & my dog had a swollen & bleeding eye, I figured it was much more prudent to take her somewhere now rather than to wait until I got off work or be very late for work taking her to our usual vet half an hour away. I arrived & waited (no problem), when the girl returned I told her what happened this morning when I woke up & that I just needed to drop my girl off for it to be looked at (I did not ask to be seen right away or even that morning at all.) I was asked if I had an appointment... obviously I didn’t since I didn’t plan to wake up to my dog having a swollen & bleeding eye. So I said no that was why I was hoping just to drop her off. She said she needed to talk to the doctor & went to the back. While she was gone, two other girls were sitting at the desk. One answered the phone, put the client on hold, turned to her co-worker and said “some idiot didn’t realize it was spring break and wants to know if we have room for a 45lb dog to board.” I should have walked out then. The other girl comes back at this point & informs me that they’re just so booked up that my best bet is to take her to the emergency clinic, because the doctor will be in surgery for 2 hours and they don’t have any room, but then she said they could see her they just weren’t sure when. I said that was fine as that’s what I had asked to do anyway. She then turns away from me and walked back behind the desk and said “well I wasn’t sure since you said it was an emergency” with more sarcasm than I’ve ever been able to pour into a sentence. (I meant it was emergent in that I didn’t/wouldn’t leave her at home alone all day while I was at work not knowing why her eye was suddenly swollen and bleeding and she was pawing at it constantly at home. Admittedly I apparently needed to be more clear by what I meant here.) If this had been my first bad experience with this clinic I would have just let it go. However, this is the consistent experience I’ve had. The workers that I have interacted with have the worst attitudes and calling a client an idiot while they’re on hold right in front of another client is appalling. Having worked at a vet clinic for several years through high school and college I can’t believe this place has as many clients as they do. I have no issues with our usual vet (Luckney Animal Clinic is phenomenal and gladly took my girl this morning even though it was much more out of the way), with the other vet clinic we went to after the initial bad visits here (The people at the Mac are great if you want a clinic in this general area), only this one. I just cannot, and will not ever, recommend this place to anyone knowing what they say about clients behind their backs yet in front of other clients, and how they handle themselves in general. The attitude of the workers is ridiculous and incredibly unprofessional.

Very caring and supportive staff. We unfortunately had to let go of one of our pets today and they did everything they could to make it easy on us. Prior to today, I have also found their care top quality and their prices reasonable.
