HY-VEE is a nice store to shop in, always seems clean and fairly well stocked. As far as a helpfull smill in every isle as their saying goes, NOT TRUE AT ALL!! Even if you were standing 3 feet from a employee, looking up and down for a item, you would be hard pressed to get their attenion. They place item's in their ads and fail to mention a limit you may purchase, but they have them marked with limits on the shelves. They tend to run out of ad items often, causing you to make another trip to the store. this practice may be on purpose or just very bad inventory mangement. this was the case even before COVID SO PLEASE DON'T THINK SUPPLY LINE ISSUES.

Hy-Vee catering was a very disappointing experience. I sent someone other than myself to pick up my order and only received half of what I had ordered. They showed up 3 hours later with the rest of the order after all our guests had gone. The food that we did get was mediocre at best. :( I was contacted by the store manager and he was most gracious. sincere, and apologetic. He did makes things right and said they would be reviewing their process and making improvements for future orders. Update - the manager I had talked with said he would not charge me for my order since they did such a horrible job. However, I didn't get charged for the items I didn't get but did get charged for the other so he did not keep his word. 🙁

There are aspects of the store that are showing signs of improving. In particular, the Jefferson store has redesigned some of the shelved items- nice. Moreover, the very nice employees that seemed newer, were quite responsive, helpful and friendly. What a nice and unexpected feature....liked that very much.

HyVee is my grocery store of choice, especially when I'm in Jefferson City. This location consistently has employees that do a fantastic job making me feel welcome and helping any time I ask. It's very much appreciated.

The store is clean and they finally have self checkouts. WATCH PRICE TAGS!!! They regularly fill empty spots with other product regardless of the prices. I only visit here when I need to because it’s close to my work.

02/12/22: The temp outside was very cold with a wind chill in single digits. When I arrived the store was comfortable temp-wise, so after getting my meds at the pharmacy, I went to the food area to get a bite to eat. The food was greasy and looked like it had been out awhile. Store temp was still comfortable; however, when I went to pay I felt a rush of ice cold air from above. I then went to pick up an item across the store, went to checkout, mentioned to clerk about the AC being turned, she said keeps some items fresher but then said it was from the doors and outside. So, which is it? They have double doors. It was from them turning the AC ON. Good way to lose customers to make it so cold they have to freeze to shop there. Although it could be they only want certain customers over others?? But that is okay. It will not deter me from shopping there here and there, might shop there more often now. ;-) Overall the store is clean, prices a bit too high, and appears to have more customers than they use to have. Can only give 3 stars due to lack of consideration concerning turning the AC on in winter and the apparent decline in the cafeteria area.

Nice store, love Hy-Vees, but this one is way over-priced on many items. I only went there to see if their ATM was a US BANK atm; which it was not! It is worth noting that the employees were quick to ask if I needed help & weren't the least put off by my question concerning the ATM. The employees were very attentive, pleasant, & helpful.

We absolutely love hyvee kitchen for Saturday morning breakfasts. Darius is an absolute peach he always takes extra good care of us, going the extra mile. As long as one woman who is especially rude (every single time) doesn't take your order it is 5 stars every Saturday.
