I HAVE TO RAVE ABOUT THIS BOOK SHOP. I walked in on New Years Eve after having driven by the shop for years and found this little gem. Long out of print and nearly impossible to find. The shop owners were just too cool, and they gained a repeat customer. The selection of books is just amazing.

My girlfriend and I stopped in today, and found five books between us. They ranged from crafts and photography, to science and skepticism. We were happy with the prices and the selection. The owner was helpful accomodating. This is a great place to spend some time during pandemic. Battery Books is a great part of our Pasadena neighborhood. And there is always great music playing!

Rich's shop is a treasure. He does an excellent job curating his collection of books and curio. Lots of really fun, odd, and puzzling selections. He is a really supportive artist and member of a greater art and music community here in L.A. Be sure to catch a show there and buy some cool books.

So many great authors. So many genres. I had to peel myself away with 3 used books that I could not resist. I'm going to ask for a weekly/monthly used book allowance. I'm definitely headed back to this book shop.

I love this store!! Richard is awesome. Great book readings and great music performers! One of Pasadena's finest. I say this because everytime I am here I gain something and increase my knowledge with either a new book or meeting a great person. Definitely check it out. Great atmosphere and positive energy.
