Clerks are friendly. And my carrier is EXCELLENT! I run a mail order biz and deal with the Carson City office almost every day. They are VERY tolerant of my 'volume' and oddball requests.

One of the worst places to deal with. Mail sometimes does not get delivered for days. Missing mail. And when It does get delivered why does it look like its been ran over? I could also not send out a package because someone jammed the drop box and the employees couldn't be bothered to fix it.

21 people in line, 0 workers at the counter, and the sound of half a dozen people singing happy birthday coming from the back room. This is why the USPS is a failing enterprise.

As far as post offices go, this is pretty good compared to big city post offices. The staff at the counter works fast and efficient. The line looks long, but moves fast ... like Costco. I like there's a big slot to drop packages in the front and no line. Parking lot is a bit tight and poorly designed but that's about it.

I run a small business and this hands down has been the worst post office I have ever dealt with. They told my customer that she had to pay an additional $8 or wouldn’t receive her package. After a dozen calls that just rang and rang I was finally able to get through to a woman and was told that I can’t use first class with tracking labels on a 5x7” envelope package and that I need to use priority if I want to use tracking. Then why does USPS allow me to create those labels with the exact dimensions if it’s not allowed? I have sent out over 700 of the same exact packages with the same label to customers all over the United States including other cities in Nevada and not once have run into this issue.

Terrible service, they delivered my package to the wrong apartment number, wouldn't tell me where they deliver it to so I could possibly retrieve it, and proceed to basically said my mother was a lair and wrong instead of taking accountability and trying to do something to fix the situation. Had they of done those few simple things it would have been a much better experience. I will only use them for letters because well I would hope someone with average intelligence can deliver a piece of paper successfully.

This review is in regard to delivery of packages that are not mine, nor addressed to my residence, yet is constantly being dropped off at my resident. I think the delivery person is lazy, or rushing to complete his deliveries before his shift ends, or is rushing to get off work early. I also think it's because my apartment is the closest unit to the entry-way of two 2-story apartment buildings. I've dropped of a previous package to the main mailroom on the premises, but the main door locked after 5:00 p.m., nor is the main office open to receive packages. Anyway, I'm not the delivery person and should not have to take a package to the main lobby, nor insure its safety of delivery. Thank God, I'm a honest person.

I was supposed to get a letter straight at my door on my birthday, I was home all day and supposedly the mail delivery person knocked and left a note saying no one answered. Like I said I was Home all day and I would have heard a knock at the door, unless he or she knocked as light as possible. I then rescheduled for delivery Thursday and I still have not got the package. Have now been on hold with post office for 34 minutes!!

I have worked both sides of the counter (not at this location) for decades. I have worked with mean/rude clerks and clerks who go above duty. Alot depends on Postmaster. The Distribution plants affect process so much. Clerks need to be more patient, not assume public knows processes. Public often think it's an simple job, not realizing that clerks have little control over process ( before it arrives or after it leaves). If you have a realistic complaint, file it online at USPS. Postmaster will address it.

I have always loved this post office. It's always clean and I like that it's spacious enough that you're not breathing down the persons neck in front of you because you're crammed in. The employees have always been more than helpful and I am always greeted with smiling, friendly faces. I have had this as my main post office for years. They delivered my mail to my street address in Carson for years and now I have a P.O. Box there. Never a lost package and always right on time. I also love the self-service kiosk. Note to the lady that gave 1 star regarding the self service kiosk ~ You gave 1 star because you were upset the employee wouldn't give you your stamps without proving you purchased them. I don't know what business wouldn't make you prove you purchased your item, and it turns out you didn't even get charged for them! It just seems like you didn't use the kiosk correctly so I don't know why they deserve a 1 star rating. And a note to the lady driving an hour multiple times for a passport ~ If you went the first time or even a second time and couldn't get what you needed done, did you think of calling the post office? I have called a couple times during business hours and a live person always answers that is actually at this post office.
