I had brand new jeans and some gently used jeans and they said “we didn’t take any due to the wear and tear, and high inventory” what?! But yet still accepting things from people. And half of them i never even wore. Sooo. Make it make sense!

I don’t have any complaints about the selling process because I get it, they were overstocked and didn’t have a demand for some items I brought in. My problem is with the very gross, childish behavior coming from the employees. They were standing behind the counter openly mocking the customers and the clothes they brought in to sell. Zero shame, didn’t even try to whisper, didn’t care that customers could see them hold up items, calling for the attention of other employees to share snarky comments. If you wanna make fun of the style clothing someone brought in, you do it quietly. Humble yourselves and have some basic social etiquette.

I drove 30 minutes to take my clothes for them to purchase , I get there and waited 2/3 hours to return to the store and received all my items back with the exception of them buying 1 pair of sneakers. What a waste of time . The reason she told me they did not accept my clothes was a lie. I would never give a stranger clothes with a stain on it. The jeans was hardly worn. I will not be back. Goodwill here I come.

I dropped off four containers of barley worn brand name clothes. Waited three hours in my car outside the store because I live 30 minutes away. I went back into the store when I received the text that my items were ready only for the cashier to hand me everything that I had dropped off back to me. The cashier went on the explain that platos closet does not accept any clothes older than 2020. Would have been nice to know that before I waited 3 hours. Very disappointed.

What a joke!!!!! I agree with the many reviews about this place. I to brought it brand new merchandise with tags on it and it all was name brand they refused it all and said it was overwashed. I also noticed that everyone that goes in this place to sell leaves out with the same bag they brought in which means they are not purchasing the way they should. They offered me 11 dollars for a 600 coach purse. You've got to be kidding me right? When you decide you wanna sell your clothes if this place is on your route Hit the gas!!!!!!

If no stars were an option I would pick that. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this store. Employees are rude, dismissive, and scammers. They don't like to buy anything from you. I've also contacted the BBB

Everyone I just wanted to say Plato's closet is the worst place in the world to sell your stuff because I was not able to fit certain women clothing because of the way my weight was fluctuating and I was buying my own personal men's clothing that I was only able to fit at the time my ex-boyfriend Mitchell ethraos who literally was beating on me they believe him when he's never sold there ever but I was the one who had sold there all the time and my own personal belongings and I even had proof that he lied and said I was stealing his belongings when I wasn't because a family member took me to the store to buy the male clothing because that's all I could fit at the time and the fact that they don't even give anybody enough even if they have good merchandise even if it's in good condition they still won't take it there very picky stuck up people and the business should be shut down for believing someone who's never sold there in a day in their life compared to someone who has

Not HAPPY. I brought two large boxes of cloths to sell. Everything was clean and branded, some items still with tags. (I live 40min away) when I got text 3hrs later that it’s ready for pick up I drove back only for them to tell me that they weren't able to take ANYTHING. The boxes were folded EXACTLY how I left it. No one looked through the cloths. VERY DISAPPOINTED. The girls just didn’t feel like working that day!!!! (I was there 5/17/22 just so management has a date of who worked that day)

Went twice with brand new summer clothes with the tags still on it .. and they lied and said the clothes were worn...smh but the lady next to me got paid money for worn clothes.... No point of going there cause I guess only certain people can get money for there clothes....
