Horrible place! We took 4 huge suitcases in 3 days and sold 2 pieces of clothing! We had clothes with tags still on, clean worn only once or twice, bought same season, clothing they are looking for and saying they are interested in, designer names and etc. But we would get ridiculously dumb reasons for not taking like they outdated, not in season or bad condition... Sometimes the cases were packed exactly like it was when brought! And the items they sell are in such atrocious conditions I wouldn't take if I was paid! I found out that the employees ask their friends or family to bring in their clothes and buy it all, then can't buy from paying customers! They have kids working there that has no clue about style. Save your time and energy, don't go to "Plato's Closet"!

Awful, lazy employees. Wouldn’t take any clothes even though they didn’t close for over an hour. Pathetic

I really like all the prices and the organization of things. The fitting rooms are clean and the whole store in general is sanitary. Safe to say I am happy with my visit here.

Brought my sister here to get rid of some clothes and shoes . When i arrived you could tell they were very busy with buys and short staffed. As i came to drop the stuff off i felt uncomfortable and the one girl who took my stuff sounded like she had an attitude and told me 2 hours … which is ridiculous. But whatever i decided to wait. My sister brought brand new shein bathing suits , dresses, victoria secret hoodies, brand new ugg sneakers, great conditioned ugg slides etc. They proceeded to tell me they took only 8 ITEMS with 5/6 of them being the brand new shoes. Personally i don’t even think they went through the bag of clothes we brought as the clothes were in the same spots that we put them into the bag… This place is ridiculous 8 brand new items for $30 and if they were so busy they could of just told us to bring them back another day instead of not even going through the stuff ….

I have been shopping here and selling here since the store opened. When they moved, I still continued to shop there. I have never ever been dissatisfied with there business. They always buy all the stuff I bring in, give or take one or two items maybe they don’t, but 90% of the time, they accept all my buys and give good money in my opinion. They sell clothes good priced. I usually go there to look for name brand stuff I like, American eagle, old navy, Ella ivory, etc.. To get a pair of American eagle jeans for $15 is a steal for me.. So I continue to shop here as often as I like. No complaints about the staff either, they are always welcoming customers and saying goodbye as well.

I’m am shocked at the experience I just encountered. I dropped off my belongings and was told 45 min wait time so I sat in my car and waited an hour. As I came in a sensed some tension between one of their workers and a customer. I hear the customer ask about his clothes with some aggression and the worker responded in the same tone. I ask another worker for an estimate of how long it will be given my it had been about an hour - the worker who was having an altercation stops her conversation to then respond in a nasty tone pretty much saying another 25 min and it is what it is. I then responded letting her know I did not like her tone and to not speak to me that way. I then moved to the drop off area to talk to another worker to get an explanation given the way his coworker spoke was not warranted. Out fo no where the manager and what seemed like the assistant manager (Natalie and Aliana I believe there names are as I called later in the day to get their names) come behind the counter and are yelling for the man from the original altercation to get out and yelling “do I need to call the cops” as he continues to ask for his belongings- I was disgusted by the way she spoke to him immediately especially in our climate calming the cops is not something that should be done so quickly unless someone is in danger. She later says she caught him messing with merchandise and he signs the paperwork she asked him and leaves. As I am talking to a worker she looks at me and yells “and you can go too” me being very confused she then proceeds to say “you’re with him you leave”. I immediately get upset and say “you’re ignorant. Why do you assume I’m with him? The only thing we have in common is that we are black. I wasn’t talking to him, I didn’t come in with him, I’m talking to your employee next to him, why are you associating me with him”. The assistant manager and their workers very nastily responds “oh you’re ridiculous” and insinuated I was saying something not warranted. The manager who made the inappropriate comment goes “yes I assumed because he was hostile and I thought you were to “ which makes no sense because I never spoke to her. As I left the store the assistant manager yelled yeah get your stuff and leave and as I left I responded with “watch your mouth” and I assured her I was never coming back to their location. I will make sure I use my platform as I have a following on social media about this location and the type of employees you guys have at this location. DISGUSTING. SAVE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY

I once liked this place but recently they have hired a lot of young girls who are extremely rude. As I walked in I was not greeted nicely but instead was asked "selling?". When I needed a dressing room I was ignored and AVOIDED at all costs. Employee are always on there phones or only talking to each other, when I needed to ask a question it felt as if they were annoyed that I was interrupting them. Not to much this is suppose to be a "trendy" clothing store yet all the employees styles were extremely questionable and in my opinion not appropriate for work. Most of the clothes are not in style, dirty, or plain ugly. From the selling point of view the store gets even worse, since the people working there are not able to dress themselves they have no idea what name brand, nice clothes look like. DO NOT WASTE OUR TIME!

Came here 7 years ago with a bunch of clothes, most with tags still on them. When I came back to see how much they would be taking I was shocked to notice only 4 items all from the Loft and Urban Outfitters with tags still on to be bought from me for $12. Baffled at the price I took my belongings back and donated to good will for I’d rather give nice brand clothing in brand new condition to someone who deserves it more than this greedy store. Came back today to try and sell many clothes as I am moving. All urban outfitters, Forever 21, Tobi, and Francesca’s in excellent condition even recently washed. Not to my surprise, only two items were taken (a leather shirt from urban outfitters and a pair of jeans with zippers down by the ankles from garage) and was compensated $8 for that. I was flabbergasted as my expression showed while the rude associate told me all my belongings were either too worn for the store which is false, or “too trendy” which is extremely concerning for the store. Coming with years on end in retail and managing I always want my store to be the best and employees. Taking into consideration that Plato’s closet prides itself on “trendy on brand” items, I figured I would give them a second chance since I had items that met their description. Why they wouldn’t want trendy items in their store is quite alarming, however from the looks alone of the stores condition and racks it appears they are clueless as to what they are doing and buying. Donate to good will or try Poshmark before stepping foot in this gross environment.

Waste of time to sell here. Got told that I can bring my swim stuff in even if there's no tags and will take it. So I brought my swim tops and they got completely rejected. I tried to get an answer of why but no one would tell me except that they are "older". I Wouldn't have brought stuff in If I got told differently that they wouldn't take them. Staff is super unfriendly also. While I was waiting for my stuff to get done, I noticed that a lot of the clothes were not in that great of condition on the floor. Pretty disappointing how I see clothes sell for 8 to $10 with bad condition but when I sell to them i get bottom dollar for my stuff. Pretty disappointing also that I notice they didn't even look through the bag they just grab the stuff that they wanted all this when stuff was in the exact same position that I put them in

I really did like this place, it has a very wide selection of clothes and accessories for a very good price! I started to dislike it when I started selling to them. I brought an entire bag full of clothes to sell, most Victoria Secret but also other name brand clothes. They didn't take any of my nice clothes at all! Half the clothes in there I can't picture anyone wearing but they refused to take my nice name brand clothes. I just don't understand how picking the clothes they want works. The employees are rude.
