Rich and Kevin provided me with a fair price for work I needed on my vehicle. They performed quality work and called me promptly when the repairs were completed at the time they promised and took the extra effort to explain the repairs. They maintain a clean shop and perform auto repair with integrity and passion. This was my first visit. I will go here again and will recommend them to my friends and family.

The epitome of professional. I set an appointment by phone and they were waiting for my arrival. Rich was fantastic and so was the young gentleman who went with me on the test drive. I felt I was giving honest and forthright information. They went the extra mile to pin point what problems my car has and Kevin was terrific. He was very smart and professional. Amazing auto body shop — they are full service, have all OEM parts & even do German cars. I recently brought my car in for an oil change, they did an amazing inspection & all fluids were checked. Of course many other shops do this but they actually took the time to ensure everything was actually checked. They are incredibly polite, patient & responsive to questions, especially for those who don’t know much about cars! Their shop has incredible furniture if you’re waiting & VERY clean even in the actual shop! They were packed but still took me in for an oil change — did not have to wait too long & got the car running like new again! Thanks so much gold star team, we will be back with all of our cars! I love this place!!! These guys are the best! I have been taking my vehicles here for a few years. Each time, Kevin has given reasonable advice on what needed to be fixed first. This is unlike many shops that tell you everything needs to be done ASAP. They have also been willing to do repairs before telling me I need to replace something completely, e.g., tightening the screw on my rear windshield wiper instead & changing a bulb in the rear windshield light instead of recommending I replace everything. They have been honest and their assessments have been correct. Overall very glad I found this place on google and will be back for more repairs. Cannot say enough about this place. I have been going to Gold Star Auto for about 4 years now. This is by far the best mechanic shop in the area, and possibly even all of New Jersey. I have never had below par service and I am always made to feel like my car problems matter. Kevin explains everything that is going on and is very helpful if you have questions. I can not imagine going to another mechanic shop because Gold Star Auto has set the standards so high for both quality service and quality work. I 100% recommend Gold Star Auto. My go to auto shop for oil change, brakes. Very friendly staff, the guy behind the counter is friendly and treat you like a longtime friend when while you're waiting and the mechanic that work on your car in my experience are very honest and upfront about what needs to be done to your car. They saved me at least $1000 plus on a repair job that was for a wrong part (diagnosed at another came here for repair). Also, in this day and age with the pandemic they follow the safety protocols, everyone was wearing a mask. All in all, my experience was great. When you walk into an establishment and you feel right at home it does not get any better than that. Absolutely love love the guys that work there. A special big thanks to the mechanic that worked on my Toyota I believe his name is Richard he is the best. So much knowledge he is an old school type of mechanic that I just totally love and appreciate. He is so thorough and he tells you straight up what you need done. I so appreciate that kind of a man. Beware!!!!!! I used them for an oil change and you can't mess that up, so that experience was ok I figured I would use them in a pinch. That is where I made my mistake. While away on a trip my step daughter had her car overheat so I had it towed to Gold Star Auto. I explained to them that I was away and needed his help. After a day of diagnosing he called me to give me a price of $1200. Not going into specifics but they tried to get her to fix unnecessary things. She had to wait for me to get home to take it elsewhere, a reputable place who fixed it for $400. No need to say anything else. Stay away.
