My boyfriend and I stopped by the restaurant while on a ride trip to New York. I visited in the middle of day and there were only 2 other customers at the diner. Our waitress was warm, attentive and knowledgeable. She was able to answer all of our questions about the menu. I ordered a hamburger and my boyfriend ordered the hickory chicken hoagie. When my food arrived, my burger didn’t have any toppings. The burger was suppose to come with tomato and lettuce. The waitress went back in the kitchen and got my toppings. My boyfriends hoagie was topped with five slices of processed American cheese. The cheese was oozing out of the sub. The chicken was very very dry. Almost like it had been boiled. We also received two sides with our order, French fries and soup. Both were fine. I don’t recommend eating here after I ate my burger, I had an upset stomach for 2 days. I could only eat bread and soup without being nauseous.

I was going to call the Health Department until I realized that people are going to need their jobs in this difficult economy. Not sure how this happened but this an unacceptable way of treating people.

The place was clean and welcoming! There was no wait when we were there to get seated, albeit we were there at 10:30am on a Friday. We were here from out of town visiting family and we would definitely come here again! We very much enjoyed our stay and they welcomed us like family.

When the salads came out, they smelled so bad. Both of us had chicken that was like the inside of a chicken nugget that had the meat ground up and reformed to resemble chicken with a sponge-like texture. It was obvious that the "grilled" Cajun chicken never saw a grill, just a microwave, and the only thing Cajun about my chicken was the Cajun powder they put on top. My husband took a few bites and pushed the plate away- he couldn't stomach it and neither could I. We've been to hundreds of restaurants and diners across the country, and this honestly was the worst. I'd give it negative stars if I could.

I ordered the yankee pot roast, which came with potato pancakes, a side of my choice, soup, and desert all for $15. There’s not many other places where you can get so much food for such a low price. The pot roast was cooked just right, the potato pancakes were perfectly crispy, and the soup was also excellent. With great prices, delicious food, and excellent service, I would give this diner my full recommendation.
