This is authentic American cuisine in Pompton Lakes, NJ. I had the Western Omelette and it was amazing. Great service, great drinks, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and reasonable prices. It’s a complete win!

Honestly, food is alright but the owner is mean. Like I don’t like how she just rushes us when we take our order and one time when me and my friends we’re about to leave, we said bye to her but she gave us a lecture on saying bye but we said bye to her. She is very strict and wish she would be nice to some of the people that go to lunch here.

Let me start by saying not all people are treated equally at this establishment. My experience was very unlike other reviewers. We found our waitress to be a bit abrasive and the lady owner threw my girlfriend's card back at her at the register after she paid the bill. She had to tell her that it would be proper to hand her card back to her and not throw it. She took the time to stop and talk to other patrons but not us (never asked us how was our meal). As for the meal, the corned beef hash was good but the pancakes were gummy and they tried to give me a couple of small ends of the bread for my French toast. Overall, I won't return and wouldn't recommend anyone on my behalf!

The menu and food looked awesome which is why we went. My wife had an amazing couscous bowl. The meal I got was overpriced especially for its size, $17.5 chipotle chicken wrap. All I asked for was swap pico de gallo for tomato and to add avocado on it. I asked if there was any pico de gallo in it because it appeared to not have any. Our waitress went to the kitchen to check and gave us an attitude that the cook certainly put that in my wrap. In my opinion it was just avocado with a little lettuce and overcooked chicken, the chipotle flavor didn’t come through. From the beginning she seemed stern and rushed us like we should get in and out. It wasn’t that busy. I really try to avoid writing reviews like this but hopefully the owners and server will see this and see this as constructive feedback. I know this instance was a fluke but it still does not excuse it from happening.

Outstanding local restaurant with a great menu and awesome friendly service. Great breakfast on this visit. Very good tasting coffee and spotless clean. Free parking in the rear or on street metered parking is available. July 17 - I’ve been back a dozen times since my first visit and this place is spot on in every respect. Such a great variety of menu items with great daily specials. Consistent food quality, taste and service has made this my regular place.

I really love this place. The Lady owner is such a good person. She’s extremely efficient, almost as if she was born for hospitality. I really can’t express in words how graceful and great she is at her job. And on top of the superb hospitality the food is also very good… this is easily a 10 star establishment. To be able to open in Pompton and remain successful speaks volumes… JOB WELL DONE CARDINAL!!! I always tip them super high amounts and she’s always shocked that my tip is usually double or triple my bill but in all honesty I really feel they deserve it… I love this place ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great local cafe/diner for breakfast and lunch. Quick service and clean and the food is delicious. Stays pretty busy but if you time it right you won’t have a problem getting a table. Don’t forget take out is always an option too.

Fabulous. This is a really nice place to eat. Its like a mix of diner and family establishment. Friendly staff. Free refill on drinks. The place was buzzing with activity on a Saturday at noon. Was worth the short wait for a seat. Breakfast was great. Good price. As of Feb 2018, French toast 2 eggs and bacon plus Waffle with Bananas and Strawberry's and whipped cream came out to 22 including tax, before tip. My 10 year old daughter was also impressed and said will definitely come again.
