All the staff today (April 21, 2022) was very helpful. I was assigned to an appointment with Jason on a passport renewal and photo related issue. Jason was not only cordial and friendly, but also provided clear information and expedited the whole process effectively.

Not always the best customer service at this location. It’s hit or miss. I completely understand the stress and pressure the employees are under but, some of them let it affect them too much. I’m willing to excuse someone having a bad day but there a couple of employees that are very consistent with their bad attitude. Luckily I don’t need to go to the post office very often but when I do, before I go I wonder what “mood” the post office is going to be in. Lol As far as the carriers go, since our regular guy retired, the service hasn’t been consistent. The previous carrier knew who lived where and always went out of his way to make sure that everyone got the correct mail. If something didn’t fit in the mailbox he would finish his route and then backtrack to hand deliver the over sized boxes to the door. He was of a generation that took pride in their work and had good work ethic. Sadly, there are not a whole lot of employees out there like that anymore. Those employees are all retiring and we are now in a generation that lacks work ethic, customer service and reliability.

The USPS is terrible at delivering packages, they are too lazy to bring to the porch, they try to squeeze the smaller packages in my personal locked mailbox, which sometimes get stuck and almost break it. Or they just put it in and close the door, so anybody can steal my mail. Even though I have a locked box. Also, several times, it says my package is delivered, but was NOT. Terrible postal service !!!! And they wonder why they in debt.

2x my package has been delivered to the my neighbor instead of me. Luckily today my neighbor was honest enough to give it to me when I asked. Update: its 5x now my package has been delivered to the neighbors. My address is correct on the package the deliver is NOT paying attention. Update: 7x now and my name has been on the mailbox to avoid this. Update (yet AGAIN): was waiting on something important that should have been here at least 10/2/21 and it hadn’t gotten here. Luckily my neighbors are honest and brought it to me. So idk when it actually got here. HOW does this keep happening when my name is literally on the mailbox? I would say it’s intentional, but judging by all this reviews they’re just very incompetent.

Love em. Depend on em? But they keep sorting our mail "for us" and twice not delivered medical info or financial....the rules are simple just put the mail with the address on it in the box? Why does the fault get to be theirs when they do not fulfill to put the mail addressed in the box its addressed to and screw us up? I like em a lot....but pray they just do the job and quit "re-sorting" our mail for us, take the documebts and leave the ads anyway. Stop. Just put it in the box.

I always have quality customer service at this location. Most of the time I come it is pretty busy, but it's a post office so I couldn't expect any different! Each employee has been polite and extremely helpful when it comes to what I need. This location is kept clean and stocked.

Seriously friends, these guys work hard everyday for which they get split days off, mandated overtime, and are grossly understaffed with very poor management. And it’s the (higher-ups), that don’t have a clue. All day the workers hear complaint after complaint but have little or no power to resolve most of them. Allot of them don’t even get all their breaks. If you don’t like the service, write to ARIZONA’S DISTRICT MANAGER and DEMAND more workers to be hired! TRUTH? They have endured your complaints instead of support for so long, complaints for which, when they relay them to their superiors nothing is changed nothing is done and the next day there you are again. Depressed? Your not alone. THEY ARE GROSSLY UNDERSTAFFED. And it’s costing the post office more to pay overtime than it would be to in crease their staff. And another thing to clear up, Post office is a privately run industry and is no longer funded or supported by the United States government, it’s not your tax dollars keeping them afloat, and that change was years ago. So basically your getting less service for more cost. Don’t like it? TELL ARIZONA’S DISTRICT MANAGER! That’s where the buck stops friends, Arizona’s District Manager is in charge of Alamogordo’s post office. And please, if you can try to smile once in awhile, they are not the enemy, they want the same thing you want. To be in powered to give you better service and to go home feeling proud again.
