I dont mind the self checkout, i do mind employees not having them all open and there is no flow, no room for people to be in line. And the walmart shoppers for online orders, blocking isles while chatting is quite, quite frustrating.

First they rearranged everything, can't find anything. Then we have to check out our own groceries,(by the way I didn't need a job ) Now they have taken handicap parking for online pickup. I have never seen but a couple of parks taken for online shopping. It's as though seniors have been put out to pasture. I have been going to dollar general , at least they take care of me.

Good selection and I love going early on a Sunday morning...no crowds. Prefer it to the big Walmart. Be prepared to check yourself out though, only 1 or 2 cashiers working.

They went to all self checkouts. If I'm buying groceries I'm going to a place that has cashiers. I never agreed to scan hundreds of dollars worth of food at a station no wider than a vending machine. I give them 1 star every time I do go there because of this.

After the change, everything is in different areas. The aisles are too narrow and now it takes 3x as long to get your stuff and get out. It's horrible now. I literally went in for 5 items, it took me over 30 min to locate the items I needed. Before I could go in and grab those same items in under 10 min. Horrible. Go to the other one. Don't shop here

Me and my husband absolutely despise the new setup, and even more so the rudeness of the employees there ever since they made the changes. My husband has sciatica, and his back will spasm if he hunches over repeatedly attempting to scan an item. Management acts like they’re doing my husband a favor by helping him at all. The claim for the change is Covid, yet nobody wears a mask anymore. The reason for the change is corporate. Stop blaming everything on Covid! That is just an excuse for people to not do their job. At the very height of Covid, Walmart remained open, allowing only so many customers at a time. We actually liked the structure pertaining to how smoothly things went during that time, but the recent changes seem rushed and not completely thought out. A manager told my husband today that the two regular lines open are for WIC customers only. I understand that, however it shouldn’t be limited to only those customers. It had become evident that the employees are not happy at all. I notice a significant difference between Walmart and Albertson’s. I understand they’re pushing the curbside pickup and delivery, however it should be a personal choice rather than be forced upon customers. My husband does most of the shopping while I’m at work, and he’s old school; he doesn’t like shopping online for groceries. I thought about doing the delivery service for Walmart, but given how rude they have become, we’re not so sure we even want to shop there anymore.

I have not been in the Neighborhood Market for months, but stopped in to get a few items. I will not be going back! Your only option is self-checkout. So with rising inflation on grocery items, we now have to scan and bag our own groceries, no other option. This is not my job, it's Walmart's job. In a town with a large elderly population, how is this a good idea?? Blaming the change on Covid is false. With the new layout, the aisles are so congested that it is impossible to be Covid safe. I will now shop at Lowe's or Albertson's despite their higher prices for the pleasant experience and customer service.

The new set up of this Walmart makes everything very easily accessible. Although I cannot stop thinking about my last visit with this Walmart when they still had cashiers. I believe the woman’s name was Jordan that had helped me as a cashier. She had blonde hair short-medium length. Me and my husband had mistakenly left both of our wallets at home and we didn’t realize until it was time to check out. I informed the cashier of this and she seemed OK with the situation and put our cart aside so we could go home and retrieve our cards to pay. Upon coming back to the store, we went to the end of the line and waited our turn again being sure not to cut in line. When it was our turn the cashier, Jordan, then brought the cart around to the customer side of the cash register, pushed the cart into my body without saying excuse me or anything, then continued to push the cart into me as I fell into my husband and pushed him over. She did not say sorry or acknowledge the fact that she had just rammed me with my own cart which pushed me into my husband and even threw him off balance. I have never been so angry at a cashier before. I would like to note that I also apologized for having to go home and retrieve my card to the cashier multiple times and causing a slight holdup but she did not acknowledge my apologies at all. Silence followed my apologies. The thing is, things like this happen in retail. Problems arise. You need to be able to overcome them and work it out in a workplace. I kept my composure and didn’t speak on the incident throughout the rest of the transaction. That is an EXTREMELY disrespectful way to treat a customer. I’ve worked both customer service and retail before and never once have I pushed a customer over no matter how angry I was.

Unfortunately this rating is far above what is truly warranted for this location. The Leadership in this store needs an overhaul in significant manner starting with the Store Leader that obviously lacks social graces and professionalism. If the District and Regional Leadership does recognize this Store Leader than they are lacking observational and evaluation skills as well. First off, the Leader cannot not even present herself professional (someone discuss dress code with her as should be the leader to her team in this arena). Secondly someone needs to let her know that diminishing or admonishing her team on the sales floor in front of customers and peers lacks poor judgement, (she obviously has no clue how her voice projects and she certainly does not have a pleasant, calming and professional tone) again something her District and Regional Leadership should be pointing out on her yearly evaluations if they are given (what a concept) as every Leader should be level set to get them back on the right path. I am not sure if Walmart has a true vetting process in place to identify talent but they certainly missed the boat when promoting her and certainly for allowing her to stay in position due to the manner in which she treats associates. This is ONE of the REASONS why associates look to Collective Bargaining Units to support their concerns when Corporate Management fails to address employees such as this. This time I left with out purchasing my goods and will certainly take my future Walmart needs to the Super Center location where the very approachable and people oriented Store Leader makes his associate positive approach know to all. The Store Leader from the Indian Wells location needs to spend a week at the other store observing how he treats associates and customers. Not a day goes by when I visit this location ( New York Avenue) where he is not observed greeting and engaging all the come within his circle. the sad not e to this Indian Wells store is the current investment with the remodel. Companies invest in these locations due to the profitability and what they forecast as future strong results but should also be based on the current Leader in every store as well as associates to support the investment. I challenge the Field Leadership to walk that store 4 foot by 4 foot and see how the Store Leader has already lost the integrity of the updated sets due to poor stocking, poor facing and missing labels already. These are also cornerstones of a strong foundation to ensure integrity to all of your customers. These are all facets of POOR Leadership as well. Maybe she should be walking her store and coaching versus motivation by intimidation. Does not bode well in current climate.....again, this is why associates unionize in corporate America. Time for a reset in this store...

I'm a senior and the switch to predominately self-serve checkout is completely unacceptable. I will not go to the Supercenter because it is too crowded. Albertsons and Lowe's Market will be receiving all of my business from now on
