Sears Appliance Repair is now Ace Hardware Store and I possibly found a new number 1 for a great selection of cool stuff to get for all kinds of applications! The employees Andrew and Raven were were great! This is a place closer to my home that has a wide variety of choices and items for those crazy home projects! Service tech told me on first visit that dryer vent was cause of dryer not working. Vent was cleaned thoroughly but dryer still did not work. Called Sears again and was told they would send out a different "expert technician" but it was the same tech as the first time. This time he told me it was because we have elbows in our tubing restricting the airflow which was causing the thermostat to stop. He tore all of the hose and tubing off the dryer but then refused to reconnect it. Quoted over $300 to have it fixed but said it would only last a couple of months. We ended up buying a new dryer and when it was installed we were told no restricted airflow. We are disputing the diagnostic/service charge because obviously the tech sent to our house was clueless. I will never buy another appliance from Sears. I had my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator for 3 years before the compressor went on it. I paid over $2700.00 for this refrigerator and almost $1000.00 for the warranty. The replaced part is guaranteed for 3 months. They made me wait 3 weeks for someone to come out to do the repair. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER APPLIANCE FROM SEARS.

Repair Tech was a nice enough guy but the service was terrible. He called Samsung to assist with the diagnosis of our dishwasher issue and they both agreed that it needed a new sensor, I asked him twice if the problem could be a drain plugging issue, the tech said that it was highly unlikely, I asked him again to please check the drain hose to eliminate the potential which he finally did and guess what? It was a plugged drain! The dishwasher ran fine after that, the issue I have is that I paid $162 for that and had to replace all the plumbing because he couldn't get it back together without it leaking. After that it was a sales pitch on how I should get an entire appliance warranty through Sears for $50/month. No thanks!

We had an excellent technician!! He called before arrival and arrived promptly. He completed the repair and left my house, however, something still wasn't right with our refrigerator, so I called him back and let him know. I was expecting to be told I would need to set up another appointment, however, I was pleasantly surprised. He came back to my house within the same day and completed the repair again to my satisfaction. I was very impressed by this and am very happy with Sears repair service!! I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future!

My top loader Hotpoint washer that is 3 yrs old began to make loud noises that sounded like it was being drug across a concrete floor. I called and got an appointment within 3 days. Scott was my tech, a very knowledgeable gentleman. He asked the circumstances that led to this and I explained it was the result of an unbalanced load of jeans and sweatshirts. My machine sits atop a pallet in case of minor flooding. Scott removed the front cover and basically explained that deductive reasoning led him to this conclusion. The reason being that the agitation caused the machine to move less than an inch off the pallet, thus causing uneven weight on the bottom of the drum, the scraping sound came from this. The evidence was the metal shavings on the floor of the machine under the drum. He moved it back on the wooden part of the pallet, Told me a piece of plywood wood remedy that in the future. I was charged $113 including taxes and he left. I felt like A fool- there was a 20% off coupon online that I could NOT use because there was no repair done. I will not call them again

Roy, by far, is the best service repairman I have ever experienced. He's prompt, courteous, gives just the right amount of conversation and he's filled with practical knowledge to educate me on how to use my appliances more efficiently. This man is phenomenal!!!I sure hopes he gets bonuses because he truly deserves them.....

Sears has terrible service policies and scheduling procedures. They also do not train all their techs to do things the same way. We have had 3 service calls now and our refrigerator is still not working. The first 2 times the tech didn't do actual diagnostics to figure out what was wrong and we ended up waiting for appointments to install parts that then did not fix the problem since he did not do all the steps he should have to flush the system. The third service call was more thorough but did not fix the problem and now they are asking us to wait a WEEK for someone else to come out to try to figure out what's wrong and there's no guarantee it will be fixed that day either. I have not had a working freezer for a month; our refrigerator is also now not working correctly and has been this way for 3 days. We have a protection plan so are not paying for the service right now; this is not about money, it is about service. Sears does not care about or take care of their customers. They do not try to make things right when there are problems either and I will not be purchasing ANYTHING from them again.

He's prompt, courteous, gives just the right amount of conversation and he's filled with practical knowledge to educate me on how to use my appliances more efficiently. He gave us options openly and honestly and completed the repair to our satisfaction in no time at all. I don't know if all of Sears' repair persons are as good as he was, but we had an excellent experience. If something goes awry again, we will be seeking him out.

While the appliance is now working, the agreement that a technician would come out and check the status of the unit. If it was in need of parts to repair it, there would be an additional cost. We were charged over $150.00 in repairs when all the individual did was check the connections and turn it on. I believe we were overcharged for this service. He also told my wife that if the dishwasher doesn't light up again, shut off the power for 5 minutes and turn it back on. That was all that he did. I truly believe we are owed a refund for services that were overcharged!
