This is my long time family owned hometown gym. Whether it was Lou or Chad that owned it. I love them both. Absolutely the best gym in the area. I taught here for many many years. It’s got the new school mixed with the old school vibes. 100% would get a 5 star review, but for years they always tend to hire captain americas and wonder women who have no idea how to run or take care of a gym but think they own the place. They just need to hire people that’ll actually take care of the gym. Otherwise 5/5 stars

I typically love this gym but they have an unleashed dog that likes to jump on people and I’ve been scratched and it likes to sniffing private areas and just isn’t trained very well, when I told the woman that she should leash her dog she gave me the fattest attitude in the world and was severely rude about it and genuinely so offended it was weird. God forbid someone has a service animal, an allergy, a fear of dogs, or just doesn’t want to be harassed by an animal while trying to work out… let alone being disrespected when saying the dog should be leashed to prevent further incidents happen. It’s happened to me on the two times I’ve experienced the dog and when the dog jumped on me he left about a 4 inch scratch while his owner didn’t do anything. Super unsanitary and dogs should be leashed in a general sense.. pretty sure that’s a law as well in establishments. Getting offended for asking someone to be a responsible pet owner is beyond unprofessional. Rest of the gym is great except the woman with the buzz cut who was apparently beyond appalled by this simple request or suggestion. Continued to be condescending after the fact and it just made the whole ordeal even worse because as a business or a worker it’s beyond estranged to act that way especially in your place of work.

Amazing gym and is old school, just wish they would get different protein bars because the quest bars almost made me puke even after taking one bite and having that taste in my mouth

New owner, but, still feels like the Nautilus of old. Which is not a bad thing. Would be nice to see a new weight rack in the Iron den. Overall, this is a solid gym.

Have been a regular here for 2 owners now and this place is my go to. Have trained at a few local places and I will always frequent here.

Nice little gym, powerlifting friendly. I was in the area for several days at a sports tournament, hoping to find somewhere to squat, bench and deadlift so Planet Fitness was out, and most other local gyms seemed cardio centric or CrossFit. This place has a good free weights area with a pair of squat racks and several benches plus dumbbells. Also a separate room with adjustable racks, plenty of bumper plates and quality bars (including a safety squat bar) for powerlifting/Olympic style lifting. Also additional areas with machines and cardio equipment. Very reasonable pricing ($7 for a day pass). Owner/workers were very friendly.

Lou is a shady character with a mediocre gym. He kicked out a men's physique pro for recording his workout inside the gym and then proceeded to call the cops on him while he was leaving. This place is not worth the money. Go to Taft performance center on Glen street if you want a clean, professional, and respectable place to workout. Do not waste your money on these old rusty machines and bad management.

Excellent, clean gym. Helpful and friendly staff. Classic gym with a great mix of older and newer equipment. 40 years in the gym industry...that's amazing! Congratulations!

Just getting back into working out at a gym after 2 years. I picked this gym for many reasons. Lou is really great. He and his staff are very nice and pleasant. The gym has many options for all fitness levels. As a women, it can be hard finding a gym that you feel comfortable in. I am not intimidated or harassed by any other members, especially males. I am able to go into the gym and do my daily workout routine with no issue. Plenty of equipment so you are not waiting for anything for very long if at all. It is really clean which is extremely important. I have used other gyms before and I think this is the best so far.

Plenty of space and equipment for everyone. It doesn't matter if you want to lift heavy or conduct a high intensity workout, the Nautilus has what you need. To top it off the staff and members are friendly; making for an enjoyable experience.
