I was in the area for a couple days and needed a last minute repair on my car before a long drive back. Even though they were about to close, they made a big effort to squeeze me in, did a great job, and were very honest. I would highly recommend.

This place is now called Al's Auto Repair. Al is absolutely one of the most trustworthy mechanics that I have found in the Monticello area ! I had another garage just down 17b, right next to Agway, tell me I needed a new engine in my Jeep. Long story short, Al fixed it 2 months ago and all is well since then. This guy works SEVEN days a week ! He is wonderful !!! It isn't the most clean garage, but we'll worth your time to stop here for ANY auto needs.

Brian will fix your car in no time, will explain what's wrong, what needs to be fixed, price and expected time. Will ALWAYS return your call. He's a veteran and will treat you with courtesy and respect. Will provide transportation if you need to leave the car. He has become my personal mechanic.

These guys came highly recomended by my boss for getting a job done same day with no appointment and being honest, which the name implies. Delt with Brian. Very pleasant and most importantly honest. Gave me a ride back to town. -No waiting area. Car was done quickly. Fair price. Solid advice on other issues with no pressure to buy more. Very straight up. Brakes and rotors are solid and silent. I would usually do myself but didn’t have the time. I was extremely satisfied! Great job guys, thank you! I will certainly be back.

Bryan was my savior! On my last trip from Upstate NY (Fort Drum) to NYC, my car started to vibrate and make a rattling noise at the front tire. I was eating breakfast at a nearby dining facility and asked the cook for a recommendation. He immediately called Bryan and he was able to see my car and fix it in less time than expected (minutes!). Very HONEST, KNOWLEDGABLE and RESPECTFUL guy. I am so satisfied, that I have plans to drop my son's car to be overhauled over there, no matter if I have to drive 175 miles. I was in town for a weekend trip and noticed my vehicle had a vibration that needed to be fixed before my 6 hour drive back home. I called and they were able to take me that day. Turns out it was a front wheel bearing that needed to be replaced. The work was done that day and at a fair price. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area. This is a good small business that should be frequented for auto repairs.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. First they took my car into fix it. They told me it would cost $200 to get all the work done. Then they called me back in the next day to show me that they needed another $200 to fix an additional part. The problem is they broke the part while trying to fix another part. I know this because I looked at the broken part before they started working on the car and the part next do it was not broken. They refused to pay for the broken part and charged me $400 to pick up my car. I think these people are dishonest. You are better off going to a real repair shop that does not break parts while trying to work on your car. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!!

ABS and VTM-4 lights were on and AWD was not working on 2004 Honda Pilot. Performed diagnostics and made a quick repair. Replaced one part and problem was fixed instead of part after part after part...... Highly recommended.
