I want to share my story here to illustrate in detail all the ways that have defined the service department at Honda City as a true gem. I hope that my story will help you to make one of the best decisions for the car that you love or care about, like I did. I have a vintage Acura that is also the last of its model, and one that I have resolved to keep for life given our history together. So, when a couple of strange and unusual problems suddenly appeared 2 years ago in the car's air-conditioning system, I searched far and wide for a solution, sparing no costs. Prior to discovering Honda City, I had consulted with 5 or 6 different Honda and Acura dealerships in the Southern Tier and CNY regions over the course of the 2 years. But one after another, as it turned out, what I got from every one of those dealerships was nothing but disappointment which ran the gamut of the imaginable, and sometimes pushed the envelope of credulity. By the time I found Honda City from a list of dealerships to try, after I had moved to Syracuse last year, I almost felt that I had exhausted all hope of finding anyone who could figure out and fix those longstanding problems with my car's air-conditioning system. So, I put those issues on the back-burner for a while, and only aimed for the lower bar of finding a reliable place to get oil changes and install a new set of Michelin CrossClimate2 tires because my old ones were approaching the end of their life spans. Noteworthy was the fact that the first service expert I had the good luck of meeting at Honda City, Steve, who took care of my initial service requests, was courteous, professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and always willing to accommodate my preference to only have OEM parts for any necessary replacements in my car. For these reasons, ever since my first visits there, I have chosen Steve as my go-to service expert for all visits thereafter. After those initial visits, I decided to give it a try at Honda City with my car's 2-year-long air-conditioning problems which I had mentioned above. To my surprise, within only an hour of diagnosis, Steve informed me that the technicians at Honda City were able to pinpoint the source of the problems to a simple faulty resistor. And less than half an hour later, by only replacing the simple resistor, they solved both longstanding problems of my car's air-conditioning system, managing to hit the proverbial two birds with one stone. The solution at Honda City was so quick, simple, precise, and conclusive that it ironically seemed underwhelming. Needless to say, I was massively impressed, though I didn't show it. It's apparent to me that only a true Master Technician could have the ability to find the simple solution to peculiar problems that had seemed so complicated to everyone else. Since then, I have returned to Honda City for other services that included a NY state inspection and engine parts replacements. Each time, the service was stellar. All the professionals at Honda City, from Steve the service expert, to their Master Technician, and their Shuttle Driver, to their Manager, have my debt of gratitude for their courtesy, accommodations, and dedication to their craft and profession. The Honda City that I have come to know is a place that neither needs a fancy name to advertise its customer service, nor a pretentious interior to standout from the pack, because the proof is in the unmatched expertise and exceptional judgment of its professionals, as well as in the genuine appreciation from this massively impressed customer who can tell from experience that its quality of service is absolutely a cut above the rest.

Service department refused to work on my 2019 civic EX that I purchased here, that’s been having issues with the 1.5t turbo underboosting leading to poor acceleration (the slow turbo boost/spooling nearly got me in a serious accident quite a few times due to the slow throttle response and exaggerated turbo lag), air leaking sounds coming from the engine bay, and it will sometimes stall if you accelerate to high speed too quickly, and a check engine light throwing a p0299 code. It’s been acting up since I got it 2 months ago, but it’s gotten worse over time, and not because of some louder exhaust lol..I even have the Zurich warranty that they gimmicked me Into getting with my car as well. But they still refused to work on it because I had an “aftermarket modification” on my car, which is just a simple catback exhaust system that literally does nothing to the car but add sound, and some aesthetic mods. Will not buy another car from here. I may even go lemon lawsuit. If the condition of the car worsens.

It’s almost a shame I had to take her out in this snowy weather! Grey beauty (my previous 2019 CR-V lease from Honda City) was amazing and I loved her dearly. We had many memories and travels and she served me well. But now, Mz. Cherry is here. She’s upgraded with a few more features and bells and whistles. With the current state of the world we had to get what was available. I initially wasn’t sure on the red color, but it’s safe to say I do love it! I can’t wait to see where she takes us over the next three years with her heated seats, push to start, touch screen and more! As always, these things don’t just happen without a great sales man Mark Walker and a great dealership Honda City of Liverpool! Always easy, friendly, professional, affordable and quick!
