I used to go there to play basketball, lift weights, and pool. I've stopped since 2 employees were completely douchebag and think they can run everything when the boss or supervisor aren't around. Also they haven't upgraded the whole building for the past 10+ years which is insane!?!? Wouldn't recommend it for gym spots at all!

update: An instructor called saying my kid can have class. When called back for confirming, the director said there's still no spot. No idea what's going on but decided the management is awful and a whole mess here. Given up. update: had a call with the director and they are working on their tight hands. So it's not totally awful. Change to 2 star. Very disappointing. Calling from June about a private swim class. Always tell me to call at the end of June. Was told to fill out a form at the gym. Asked for one day's leave and went to the YMCA to fill out a form. Claimed to be informed about within 72 hours of request. No response after 3 days. Called again and help desk was able to sign me up. Nothing happened and I changed my kid's other activity class schedule, bought all stuff for swim, all centered around this class. One day before the class, I was emailed that they didn't receive my request form and thus I was kicked out because 10+ people are on waiting list????? Replied back I submitted the form on June 30. Soon changed the excuse to: Saturday class are gone before June 23rd. Then why the front desk never mentioned of this and kept saying call back at the end of June, and even invite me to the gym to fill out the request form?? Even more ridiculous, I tried to contact the so-called director since starting of June but never get a response. Now they are saying other families are earlier than us? Is that because their email get replied? Very disappointing experience. I spent 1 month trying to get my kid into private swim here, but now, all my plan for the summer is ruined. All my efforts are ruined because of some irresponsible working people. Ridiculous service. Wish I could give minus stars.

Members are friendly, The afternoons are so chll!!.hot tub is AWESOME, steam good sauna is somewhat gross. Equipment: ok good Lockers: Quiet except kid swim Pool: Good hours. Staff and members fun friendly. Parking uh not cool.

The worst experience I’ve ever had in YMCA. I wish I can rate the place negative 100 stars. The staff is so rude towards younger kids. And if your not from Nyack they will disrespect you. The staff working in the weight room is honestly one of the most rudest person I’ve ever met. PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS PLACE EVER THE WORST EXPERIENCE. I HOPE THIS PLACE GETS SHUT DOWN. The black African man trainer was harassing me when I paid my money just because I put my clothes on the side of the wall not bothering anyone.

Great zumba class! Staff is nice as well. Sue is a fabulous teacher with great energy!!!

I love the Rockland YMCA! Anytime of day I can attend a class, use the pool, workout facilities, etc. Of course I have my favorite fitness classes but I like to try something new and I always feel welcome! The staff is so friendly and even know my husband and I by our names.

Can sometimes feel disorganized. I rarely receive a call back when something is not correct with my balance. My dad told me that the YMCA is a great place for kids but I just don't see it. I am not convinced as of yet

Why must the kids either have an ID or pay $5 to receive a basketball? What happened to when you can literally hand in your keys and you can just go upstairs and play ball. This nyack facility is terrible and you guys need more help, STOP TRYING TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF US and just let the kids be kids you guys do too much in this facility and things need to change . Don’t forget it’s mainly for kids to enjoy themselves and keep a lot of these children off the streets!

Love that this one has a hot tub and sauna and I also love the gym downstairs, they have alot of the machines I use. Classes are great too!
