Sidney store # 6489. This place needs to get there act together...Door sign says 9am opening time, sat there waited till 9:15 this past Sunday morning, no one came. A store counter person was also waiting to get in. How about getting some help?

Sorry, long review/rant. The store normally has a steady supply of most parts for most makes and models on site. Some specific parts may have to be ordeeed and shipped to store. Veey impressed with the stock they have. From K&N Air Filters/kits to Royal Purple Oil, they have a decent selection. But there are some cons I have a hard time getting by. Most employees have little to no knowledge about vehicles. There also has been a change in management. The new manager doesn't seem all that enthusiastic about being there. I waited in line for quite some time while an employee talked to a customer. I understand making sure you have good relationships with your customers. But 10 mins? Then after the manager was done with a customer that was trying to find a specific part, instead of calling me over, he calls a guy who just walked up to line. I always try to find the good in my reviews, but holy cow!

We were broken down and limped our truck to Advanced Auto Parts. Informed Tyler that our truck was disabled and we were 2 hours from home. Without hesitation he said he'd take a look at it. He recognized the broken part (idler wheel) got us the idler wheel and serpentine belt. Provided tools and assistance to replace both. This kind of exceptional customer service is rare these days. In an hour we were back on our way. We are forever grateful for Tyler's help and caring for other people.

IV just called the sidney ny store 5 times in a row and no one answered the phone. I know that there not that busy and there three people working. That's why I stopped getting parts there most of the people that work there don't know anything about cars!

I was driving back to visit family after a death in the family when my driver side windshield wiper flew off 45 minutes into a 4 hour drive. I got off the highway and stopped here for a new one. The employee offered to install it for me, which I accepted since I obviously installed it wrong the last time. Turns out, my car takes a very specific wiper blade. But we didn’t figure that out until two employees and three different wiper blades. The man who helped me apologized multiple times for it taking a while, but still focused on getting me the correct item I needed, and installed it for me with a smile, I was in no way upset that it was taking a few extra minutes. Amazing service, kind employees, and one happy customer.

I love this Advance, although I drive an older car (22 years old) they usually have things like brake pads and sometimes (last time only one) rotors in stock. But most things you can have ordered and I believe it comes the next day or something or just shipped to your house usually for free, cause if your car is broke, it's probably not gonna be cheap

Employee could not read a receipt for a pickup of parts. Saw the word hub and handed me the only one they had. Wrong brand and quantity. Employees also do not check or verify orders that were ordered the previous day so I definitely recommend calling ahead to save you a trip because 9 times out of 10 it's a huge disappointment with this location.

Great local Advance auto parts. We were passing through and our wiper flew off in heavy rain and wind. The gentleman who helped us was funny and quickly replaced our wipers after we realized the remaining wiper was frozen on. We're very appreciative and definitely recommend this location to anyone in a similar circumstance.
