This place was very clean and the staff was very helpful. We bought the grands souvenirs so they would remember their trip to Maggie Valley. The prices were what one would expect not sky high and outrageous.

Says it's a ski shop but very low on amount of ski gear but very high on amount of tourist trinkets and t-shirts. Had what we needed tho. (Some new gloves and wool socks). They did not have mits which is what we really wanted over gloves, for snowboarding.

Checked the website to make sure it was open. Website said 9am. We arrived at 9:25am. The lady working/opening was outside hanging t-shirts and told us "my light isn't on" I wasn't sure what she meant. She told us again, so my husband said " well the website said you opened at 9am" . Her reply was " well depends on when I get here, it takes me 20 minutes to hang all this junk". "I only work here, give me 5 more minutes". Needless to say we left. I would have loved to have gone inside and got the t-shirt I stopped in for. Oh well, someone else got my business.

The manager of this shop is so kind and helpful. My children and I stopped in to get help with directions. She took the time to help me and guide me on my way (and also calm my crazy nerves). We left and made it to our destination. After a week of being back home I listened to a voicemail from my librarian. It was a message saying that she had received a call from Maggie's best in Maggie valley that my son had left his wallet and the only ID they had to find the owner was his library card. Now the manager is shipping the wallet to my home. She told me she looked up and down the shops to find us, but when she couldn't she made sure the wallet was tucked away. I am so thankful for thoughtful and caring people like her. I appreciate you and your staff, and your lovely store. We will definitely be back!
