Best bar in Akron hands down! My friends and I go to score multiple times a week just to see the great people that work there and hang out. We’re always treated like family and get the best service. Score has great beverage options, from any mixed drink you can think of, to domestic and craft beers, and top notch food like their jalapeño poppers and fried cheese curds. My favorite nights to go to score are Mondays for trivia with Davis, Kailie, and Kajuane and Wednesdays for 1/2 off wine bottles with Andrew Butera or Ryan Black. Hats off to Trevor for remodeling and creating the best atmosphere in Akron to have a good time at.

I love the score, I basically live there. I have spent countless evenings there. Automatic. STILL IS. Always treated like family. The bartenders are more than nice. I recommend this bar to the poor and to the rich. If you’re looking for a good time, go to the score.

I've lived in Akron for 6 years. When I first moved here, the score was super fun and I was a regular. However, a few years ago, they changed their dress code. I tried to go on a Wednesday with some friends for drinks, wings, and a game. They turned me away because I was wearing shorts. Mind you, the bar was EMPTY. We just wanted to get a drink and some food. But because of my 'inappropriate attire', the bouncer would not let me in. Tonight, I decided to give it one more shot. I hadn't had a single drink, but I did trip on the tall top stair. The bouncer would not let me in 'because I was stumbling all over the place and way too drunk.' Again, I was sober and presented my ID. Seriously, save yourself the trouble and stay FAR away from Score. The bouncers are power hungry nobodies who want to feel the little tinge of power from turning paying customers away. God forbid you ever trip in their vicinity.

** EDIT ** I spoke with Trevor the new owner and he was amazing. Helped me walk through everything that happened to me and was extremely understanding. Thank you for being great! Improper training of staff members and bouncers. I’ve been a bartender in Summit county since 2019 and was denied entry due to difficulty to understand out of state identification. Bouncers were not properly trained and refused to return my real ID. Please do better as a fellow bar tender.

Score Draft Room is by far the best bar on campus. The staff is always fun and friendly. Very good prices on drinks. The best part about Score is the the atmosphere, great music, great people and just great times overall. Everything on the menu is good too. Can’t go wrong with going to score, it’s the only bar on campus that I go to.

So. I’m actually upset I have to make this review because out of every bar in Ohio this is the one I’ve been at the most. Literally since my freshman year at college. My friends and I (usually them but me on occasion because I no longer live in the area) come here multiple times a week. Today when we were coming into the bar were told we were not permitted to come in because we are no longer college students ? So when did this bar turn into you can only come in if you have a college ID with you? Anyways. After being a loyal patron for the last 7 years I cannot believe we were not welcome 🙁

The Score is easily the best bar in Akron and it’s not even close. The bartenders and staff are what made me happy that I chose to go to school here. Always greeting you with a smile and a shot of Rumpleminze! I love it here and will be returning as often as possible :) Especially shoutout to Trevor & Jerry, he is the best owner and bartender EVER

Probably the best bar food I have ever had. I brought my friends from out of town here and they love this place now and want to come back when they visit. It has two different bar areas and a big outdoor area with fire pits in the summer. On weekends it’s a very popular college bar.
