Mike is a very polite and pleasant guy. Like his personality. First time here; he is currently working on my car. Came in yesterday for an estimate on my exhaust system and got scheduled the following day. He explains everything that's going on. Waiting room was comfortable and clean. Mike received my 2013 Audi S4 for a transmission leak over the July 4th weekend. They went above and beyond, working THROUGH the holiday weekend to diagnose the problem - a blown o-ring and transmission cooler line. They quickly fixed the problem and completed a full transmission fluid and filter change. Through it all, their communication was excellent and they kept me aware of the progress and decision points along the way. Mike is one of the best techs out there. He worked for race teams and is also an excellent fabricator. I had him convert my automatic BMW 128i M sport into a 6 speed manual. The conversion is factory perfect. All systems work as they would from the factory. While the car was there they added all the 1M suspension components, camber plates and sway bar. Mike was wonderful! I took my car to him for 2nd opinion since the dealer told me I needed front & back brakes replaced, as well as my battery. Mike examined my car and said only my back brakes needed replaced (not want the dealer told me). He saved me over $1,500 & only worked on what was necessary. He’s honest, fair, & did great work! Nordkuste worked on my older water-cooled Volkswagen, performing repairs and maintenance, and also making suspension adjustments in preparation for track driving. Mike (the owner) did a great job with communication during the entire process, sharing photographs of items that required attention, and explaining over the phone and via email the work being performed. Between dropping my car off and picking it up I had a chance to talk with Mike about other car related things, and you can tell he is a real enthusiast and has a passion for his work.

A++ What can I say? I took my basic 2017 Audi A3 to get a diagnosis for a coolant leak which Mike was able to quickly diagnose as a water pump failure. Not only did he fix my problem, he was able to provide maintenance (Transmission, Haldex AWD system) that was long overdue. While inspecting my car, he found that my brakes were very close to being worn out and replaced the rotors and brake pads. I figured I might as well upgrade my performance and he was able to provide an APR Stage 1 tune to my car without any issue. I practically had my car returned to me in better condition than when I bought it. His attention to detail is something I’ve never experienced before at a mechanic shop. An example of that is using an external power supply during my ECU tune so that the voltage fluctuations wouldn’t fry the car’s computer! As an amateur car person, I asked a lot of questions about the value of certain parts/services and he was able to answer everything without trying to sell me anything. Probably owed to the fact that he has a long history of working with race vehicles. What I thought would take a week or two to fix, he managed to complete a diagnosis, repair, maintenance and tune in 3 days. The cherry on top is that the price for labor was highly competitive (bye Audi dealership) and the transparency was a breath of fresh air. If you’re driving German, Nordküste is a no brainer.
