July 1, 2022. I Purchased an Night Owl wired security system from Supervisor Pat Powell and also paid for the security system to be installed. The install was scheduled for July 8, 2022. I was told that the "Geek Squad" would be at my home between 7:00am and 1:00pm. They never showed or called. I went back to the store and was told that Pat was not working so Supervisor DaVone Powell attended to me. He told me that the install would cost me an additional $1000.00. I was told that a "Geek Squad Member" called and left a message. This was a lie. I was never called and no message was left in my voice mail. I wasted 6 hours waiting for a scheduled appointment that Best Buy KNEW they were not going to honor. I wasted another hour returning the security system. I never received a call. I was lied to and I was held hostage to a $1000.00 additional fee that Supervisor DaVone Powell said he would reduce to $500.00. Lies, deceit and breech of sales agreements are what awaits you at Best Buy.

If I could post 2 reviews I would, but how bad the black shirts were it overrode any good the blue shirts did. Had a black shirt using the bathroom same time I did and sorry but a 2 second rinse is not washing your hands. Then the order picker was nice enough to tell me my order looked off and to hit up customer service. Went up there got a black shirt who honestly looked stoned. Tells me there is nothing he can do but cancel the order and confirm there is none of what I ordered in the store and he could do nothing but cancel the order. I ask for the manager who turns out to be the same person who has been watching the entire order. Comes out looking even more stoned then the first guy and proceeds to tell me a refund is my only option with him and thats it. I finally get the CS number from him after asking multiple times for it. CS confirms this guy is a tool and should have actually helped not just blown it off. A good manager would have called online and been just as upset as me as to why they have cx’s coming in for products I do not have instead he proceeds to do nothing but want to refund it. Again the entire reason why GeekSquad had to be bailed out by bestbuy in the first place.

The personnel hasn't changed much in the last 15 years I've been shopping there. I appreciate seeing old faces who've stuck around and climbed the proverbial ladder. You can tell training isn't what it used to be, or least there's somewhat of a lack of pride in the work being done. I worked for Best Buy from 2007-2009 while in college, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We competed amongst departments and truly worked on our sales technique... Not to oversell, but to get to know someone and what they really wanted or needed. We were always the most knowledgeable. Today's staff is far from that. The college kids in the home theater department barely seem to know the difference in model variations and lack the thoroughness that once existed. But times have changed, the internet is now prevalent. Overall a great store, if somewhat lacking in personality.

This best buy location has really friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is easy to park and get in and out. Generally their stock is good on most products. I come here instead of one closer to home simply because the experience is better.

They were extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the differences in products to help me make the best decision. You would think I was talking to someone with the Geek Squad but even the salesman had a deep technical understanding. Very impressed and will be returning.
