Classic fried chicken restaurant. Excellent food, service and value for money. The ONLY reason I rated this 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of options on the chicken dinner. They only offer a 5-piece meal with a salad and a side. 5 pieces is way too much. Why not offer a 2 or 3 piece meal?

If you are traveling in or around Minster and you need a bite to eat, look no further than The Wooden Shoe. Good service and good food in a relaxed atmosphere. We occasionally camp at Lake Loramie and when we do, we make sure to visit the Shoe.

Sourkraut balls are fantastic appetizer. The thousand island dressing ìs incredible!! We had several types of fish dinners. Perch was great! Bourbon Salmon was delicious! Pecan crusted walleye was quite good. The salads were wonderful! And the poppyseed dressing was incredible as was the Wasabi dressing!!. The hand cut skinny fries were terrific too. We truly enjoyed our dinners. We traveled one hour each way to dine here and planned our next visit before we left the restaurant! Thanx for a great dinner!!

I was a little worried when this restaurant changed hands. The new menus were very different! It's exciting to see weekly menu items come out, especially those with holiday themes. My favorite fried chicken is still available. A minor issue was quickly and efficiently dealt with and their customer service was great! (Thanks, Joe!)

I ordered a salad for 12.00 it was fresh but small my husband got a bigger salad with his meal . You can’t get bread and butter only if you know to ask for it. Drove 2.5 hours to come and try the chicken again . He also ordered German chocolate cake for dessert and it was a cupcake ! For 6.00 we have never paid 6.00 for one cupcake! False advertisement if you ask me . Waitress was very nice . Lots of money for nothing . We won’t be back ! Bring back the previous owners .
