I love this place. They have great lunch specials that I tried to go get at least once or twice a week. But sometimes I can't. I work in Woodlawn and the route that I go to get the vonderhaar's is blocked by trains and I can't get through. I had to go somewhere else for lunch today because there was a train stopped on the tracks and I only have a half an hour for lunch to go pick it up and get back to my office. Not vonderhaar's fault it's the stupid trains that stopped on the tracks and I can't get through. In order for me to go there it would have taken me almost 40 minutes out of my way when I could have been there in 15.

I've recently been coming here for their premade salads and fresh fruit. They don't have a huge selection but what they do have is always fresh and plentiful for the cost. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

I came in today and there was 1 guy working the deli area and as soon as there was a line there were enough people working the deli area that no one was waiting. It's like magic! It speaks to a well trained and cohesive team. They are a staple business in Reading. One that is well worth a peek if you have never visited.
