About:

Abe's Buggy Rides Logo

Come "slow down" and experience Lancaster Co. from the inside of an Amish buggy. Rides range from 2 to 6.5 miles in length, with interesting stops along the way, if desired. Our guides are all well trained in working with horses and very skilled at driving buggies. Each guide is more than willing to answer any questions you have about the captivating Amish culture. While waiting for your ride to begin/end, you are invited to visit with (and feed) the farm animals located next to the horse barn. They also have a picnic area and benches/swings with plenty of shade for lunch or for just relaxing a bit. Local Amish made craft items are also available for purchase.

Beautiful place for getting to know Amish folks and their simple ways of life. Buggy ride and the nice conversation with rider is a plus. Go for the 1 hr ride and make sure to Enjoy the stop at the Amish shop and all the goodies they have. Make sure you have some 💵 on you since credit cards are not that popular 😂

Was a nice buggy tour of the Amish town and the stop at the Mennonite bakery. Lydanna was sweet and kind and answered all our answers.

Sam our driver was a lovely man. He was knowledgeable of the amish way of living and was very pleasant to talk to. If you're in the area I would highly recommend it.

Great ride. Felt safe. Was a little disappointed that the "driver" didn't share more about Amish life BUT I may not have been good at asking questions. Completely enjoyed the friendliness and cleanliness of of this experience. I even had on white pants! Fun to feed the animals and some really cute Amish hats, bonnets, and clothes for sale.

This was a very reputable and well priced business. The horses a simply beautiful and friendly. They also have a nice sitting area and other animals on the farm. The lady that directed our buggy was very entertaining, she told us stories and some background on the Amish culture. We also met a very nice spirited Amish man that said we were very nice people. This made me smile. I felt welcomed here. This was definitely a nice experience.

Very authentic Amish Buggy ride not a bus pulled by horses. Three of us had an enjoyable 45 minute private tour which included a torrential downpour! We all stayed dry and had a great experience. Our guide, David, entertained our 6 year old granddaughter with a series of funny jokes. Very relaxing ride through the countryside listening to the horse hoofs clopping along.

Just got back from the 6.5 mile buggy ride. Sadie was fantastic. I was able to take my Golden Retriever. If you have never done this it is a must do!!! Best way to see the beautiful Amish country side. Thank you Abes and Sadie for the great memories.

This was my second buggy ride in Lancaster but it was the BEST one! Trust me, do not go anywhere else! The best part is that you’re not grouped with other people so you get a personal experience. Paul was our driver & it was a pleasure to have him show us around, everyone was so accommodating with my grandmother helping her off/on the buggy plus interacting with her making her feel welcome. Will deff be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had tons of fun. It is a bit pricey but experience is worth it. Kids got to drive the buggy and trot under driver's supervision - they loved it.
