When I first moved up here they didn't seem to friendly but the store is clean and they are nice and quick service

Denied even a phone call to fix an easy common error new cashiers have with new responsibility. Be in store tomorrow with my allergies and smokers cough instead possitive my kid was ripped off.

I tried walking in here a few weeks ago a minute before they closed, without realizing that they were closing. It was a simple mistake and they could have just said “Hey we’re closed, sorry.” No. The guy shoved me out the door yelling that they were closed. I know this family dollar isn’t the best and I’ve been going there for years so I don’t expect too service. But I also expect your horrible employees to keep their hands off of me when I’m not being aggressive.

It's new and just starting to get going and running so there working out the bugs but I do like the little freezer section that they had.

My mom and I were there yesterday morning to get some things and the store has gotten a lot better than it was before. The reason why my mom and I weren't going into the store because the people that were there the last time looked weird and doing some weird stuff. But now the weird guys are fired and the store has new people who are polite, courteous and responsible. The store smells nice and cleaned.

This store has improved ten-fold. It is now under new management for about 2 months and there is an amazing improvement. The store is always clean, shelves stocked and organized, and the customer service is awesome. I’m glad to see this store turn around, especially being a staple of the community. The new manager, JT, has made a lot of positive changes and I can see the improvement. Definitely my go to instead of Walmart and being stuck there for hours. I can get in, get what I need, and be checked out and out the door in under 5 minutes. Keep it up guys!

This store has never looked so good. I honestly stopped going there for a while because I had some horrible experiences there in the past but I needed something last minute and stopped in there and boy was I surprised. The store looked nice and in order, and the service was fast and friendly. A gentlemen named Jt helped me find exactly what I needed and quickly. I can now use this as my regular store again instead of traveling out of the way or having to fight my way through Walmart.

This is an updated review. Two years ago, I rated Parkesburg's Family Dollar as 4-stars. Things have declined a good bit since then. Good employees don't seem to last long. As a result, there has been a slow but steady decline in customer service and store upkeep. And today, a cashier seemed a bit annoyed that I interrupted her on her phone to ring me up. I will make sure that I don't interrupt her again.

I go here very often, and the employee’s are great! But whenever I head there, the store’s messy. And sometimes things are in places they don’t belong, and I can’t determine the price. It’s a discount store..But it’s the only decent place to get something quick, for the amount of stores in Parkesburg that are closing down.
