Went in looking for red hair dye for my roots and was being helped by a young woman when the store manager came over and rudely interrupted her and started making suggestions of her own, then proceeded to talk to us like we were stupid.

I don't know much about Sally Beauty but I heard good comments about it. I went into this store today 7/8/2021 in the morning at South Washington Ave, Scranton PA, the nice sales lady name Bernadette asked me for my name, email address, and phone number, I first thought she was being kinda nosy asking for my information but I realized she wanted to send me a discount towards my next purchase.

The handful of times I've been in this place over the years, these women have NEVER been kind. Quite the OPPOSITE, in fact. They ask if u need help when u first come in, then every several mins after, which is also when they start "stocking" RIGHT beside u. Don't ask a question about ANYTHING, they'll tell u to read the box. God forbid u don't know exactly what u want to buy & get out, browsing is clearly a problem for them, always has been (in my experience). There was some equipment I needed to stock up on today tho & didn't feel like the wait from ordering online, so the SECOND this woman knew I was spending a couple hundred dollars, her attitude turned RIGHT around. I was OVER it by now, too late lady! If u aren't a regular here, expect to be followed, hit w the "hurry up n buy" attitude, & if u want to know anything about any of the products they sell everyday don't bother asking, u'll be referred to the box as I said earlier. I could understand if one was just having a "bad day". This was ALL of them tho, the OLDER woman in particular, whom I remember from EVERY TIME I've been there. Sux it's really the only beauty supply store in the are, there needs to be more!

Sally beauty has a large hair color selection. I also buy hair product there. It's cheaper than full price salon products and they work really well. They also have a nice selection of nail colors

Great store with good prices. They always have everything in stock and I don't have to worry about getting followed around the store like I am some type of criminal or something. The employees are also very friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
