Ive had my ups and downs with this establishment. The downs have only come because of what I assume is new management or ownership. Either way the food hasn't really changed and they still offer fufu with my potato greens instead of rice.

Ordered the goat pepper soup and it was just nasty... no flavor whatsoever. This restaurant it under new owners and you can tell by how different the food is now. Total waste of money and time.

The servers are very rude! I believe it was a lot better when the owner was always present. I was told grilled fish would take a while to make and therefore they tried to persuade me into getting something else! Very poor and this is why their review keeps dropping! It sucks. Don’t waste your time

Love their food. Authentic Afrikan cuisine. Their potato greens are the best in the region at least, possibly best on the east coast 💜🤗

A friend took me to this place and the first impression was excellent. The staff in attendance are neat and friendly. Plus the food taste real good. If you are an old customer and you have complaints about this place before, I'll advise you to try this place again. They got a new chef that cook real good now. To avoid delay, just order ahead of time, because what you getting is a fresh cook food not a microwaved food common with most restaurants. And parking is not an issue.

I had the jallof rice with beef and an order of potato greens with white rice....wow. This brought me back to my childhood, I’ve been searching for YEARS for a place that cooked African food as good as my grandma use to make it, and I’ve found it. I would highly recommend the African food. (Didn’t try to Jamaican food yet). I know there are mixed reviews...chefs are not perfect everyday...but take the chance, the food is delicious!

Food was gross. Tasted like a cleaning agent and had to throw the slop in the garbage. Portions incredibly small for the price. The number 3 must be their favorite number. 3 plantains were all the size of an orange slice. 3 baby oxtails that they cover with a bunch of thick disgusting gravy that has corn and peas-yuck. I didn't ask for gravy, I guess that's to camouflage what's really lacking. Jerk chicken look like one small chicken thigh that was cut into about 12-15 tiny pieces. 1 tablespoon of cabbage. Mushy rice and beans. A waste of 23 hard earned dollars. They deserve ZERO stars. NEVER EVER EVER will I patronize this establishment AGAIN. Oh by the way, the review that was given 5 stars with a great review, looks like one of the staff.

I'm hesitant to comment only because they have the tendency to run out of my favorite dish but I will be honest and say its a clean restaurant. It's roomy for dine-in with booths. Take out works and they are on uber eats. The food is excellent. I've eaten maybe four or five dishes and the chef knows how to cook good Afruikan and Jamaican food.

Delicious! Go for the food, but set your expectations low on atmosphere. If you like delicious Jamaican food, this is the place! Spicy, citrus deliciousness. Generous portions and pleasant staff in a very modest location. I took a chance and ordered the sampler with beef, a side order of fried plantains and a shrimp skewer...and I'm glad I did. I took the order to my hotel and couldn't finish it in one sitting (and no I CAN eat). If it weren't for the atmosphere, I would have given it 5 stars. I will definitely be back in future business trips. I think I will be making it "to go," though.
