On March 30, 2021 at 3pm I went to this store for a cold drink. The cashier (older man) was exceptionally friendly and polite with me even when my card was having problems. I appreciate his courtesy. I hope this somehow gets around to him.

This Dollar General is pretty nice compared to other locations. You can tell that the manager actually cares about his store. But at the end of the day corporate controls how a DG runs. The aisles will always be crowded with incoming inventory that the staff wont have time to timely put away. That is in no way the fault of the short staffed employees. Overall it's worth going here vs. the mismanaged DG on 101 in Greer.

I own a business on Woodruff Road in Greenville Sc. I sent an employee to purchase paper towels and batteries. Not knowing my employee got back to the shop and the batteries were not in the bag. We checked the van and they were not in there either. I then sent her back with the receipt and was told that because she left the store they were not responsible for them. I had her buy some more. I then called the manager as a business owner I wouldn't have wasted my time if we had the batteries, but was completely insulted and spoken down to. I told him even at grocery stores they sometimes miss putting something in a bag. He said he would argue over the $2.75. When he got smart with me I asked for the District Manger's name and was informed it was none of my business. Beware of this store. I will never buy anything from them again.

Dorschel not organized new Supply sitting around on buggies and in plastic storage bins never can find anything I need they are always out. There have been for a long time

Store is clean and shelves are neater than most DG stores, nice Christmas decor out. I went looking for candy and noticed this display.

Frequent customer because I live near by I have to say things have changed for the better once the new assistant manager started Sheldon. Very friendly, polite, always smiles and helps considering he is always busy when I come poor guy is here alone some days but it doesn’t stop him from staying busy keeping store area open so we can walk around. You can tell when he is here and when he isn’t. I prefer when he is working.

The store seems well cared for, and the shelves seem pretty well stocked, though I have experienced a few times not being able to find what I had bought there previously (snack packs, craft supplies, etc., I believe due to changing up the aisles, so not really their "fault," as such). The staff is friendly and courteous, and remembers me and my family when we stop in for a few items. The school supply/craft aisle is pretty decent. Much better quality than DT, even if it's a tiny bit more than $1.

I had previously posted about 6 months ago a review with a 1 star rating. But I am completely in awe of how this store has turned around! Their customer service is on point! They greet people as they walk in, asking if you need assistance and being very genuine in their customer service. Just based on their turn around in a short amount of time I would give them 5 stars. The management team is working hard to turn things around and it is very evident!

I'm just glad they were actually open during normal business hours when I went this evening. Often the doors have been locked and lights on when they're suppose to be open. EDIT: Ok, so 9 months later, this location has improved. It isn't closed all the time during normal business hours, although it did happen to me again 2 weeks ago, it hasn't happened otherwise in a long time. The staff is friendly and the store is looking more organized. I'm here all the time because it's the only store in this immediate area, it's a busy little DG. Things are getting better.
