I took advantage of the one-on-one personal training, but they also offer group training and workout events. Mike understands movement of the human body as well as nutrition and is able to tailor workouts to achieve specific goals. Highly diverse with the ability to support all skillsets, everyone from beginner to professional athlete. A standout event for me is the annual Bear Creek Performance Training (formerly known as Bigger Faster Stronger Training) 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb and Fundraiser which takes place at Mount Bonnell.

I joined this gym family a year ago. No other gym compares. The owners, Mike and Leslie, are wonderful. Mike is also one of the trainers. I got bored easily at other gyms. In a year, I have not been bored once. Ever. Mike and the other trainers continually push and challenge members. I have made great progress in my year here, and I have no plans to stop. Mike creates a motivation within his members. Great gym community. Great local business. I’ve found my place here.

This is the best gym I've ever joined! I absolutely love the workouts, the trainers, and gym family here. Each HIIT class is different so you never get tired of doing the same routine. Mike keeps you motivated throughout the entire class. I always leave feeling proud, accomplished, and stronger!

Mike O’Hara is an amazing trainer. He is committed to all his athletes no matter the physique or age. I’ve made huge strides in my fitness training with Mike not just physically, but mentally. Now my 10 yr. old daughter is maximizing her athletic abilities training in Mike’s youth training program focused on speed and agility. It’s paying dividends on the softball field and the basketball court.

I’ve belonged to many gyms through the years. I’d start off full of gusto and good intentions, going for a few hours several times a week. This, however, would only last a few months tops before I’d get bored or busy and give it up. I never found anything I could or would stick with for long term wellbeing and fitness. That changed when I met Mike through friends who knew and loved him. I started coming to his HIIT class in May 2016 and something finally clicked. I loved the workouts, the class sizes, the people, the welcoming atmosphere, the challenge and motivation. I started personal training with Mike several months later I’ll be celebrating 3 years of actually sticking with something next month! Mike’s years of experience have given him a true gift for working with people in varying stages of fitness, with a wide array of personalities, with previous injuries or health conditions, and with any number of goals. In my experience he has always known and respected my limits, knowing when I need a push or some “tough love”, but also advising when I need to back off a bit and put more emphasis on recovery. Sometimes I’m better at listening to him and following his advice...always I end up looking back and thinking, “I should’ve listened to Mike.” Mike has taught me how to turn fitness from something to check off your to-do list into a lifestyle. My husband had a total lifestyle shift when he decided (shortly after me) to start training with Mike, and we’re both enjoying the best well being of our lives. Our kids have grown up understanding the value of prioritizing your health and fitness. I am exceptionally grateful for having met Mike and for the friendship and sense of family we have found in the O’Haras.

Mike is an awesome personal trainer, he has gotten me back to running at least 3 times. This local family own gym is so affordable and has workouts for everyone to include your kids. If you don’t have time for an hour long workout he has 30 minute HIIT It and Quit It that will kick your butt. The 45 minute METCON is badass. Offers much more. No waiting for someone to get off the machine/equipment you need, workout is created for you. Mike and his wife Leslie are a big supporter of RWB, he offers military/veteran discounts. I highly recommend Bear Creek Performance Training.

Mike Ohara has expert knowledge in the world of fitness. His workouts are dynamic and unique. He build strength, speed and overall fitness. He is known for building elite athletes but he can take the person that has not worked out since middle school and make them feel accomplished and proud. Try out his class if you have any doubt.
