Had a friend want to meet her for lunch. The best choice ever. Great atmosphere, food was delish, service was perfect. Recommend for sure. When I come to town again I will definitely be back!

EDIT** dine-in is back!! Still love this place! Original review: Was sad to find out that there is no longer indoor dining:( We still got tamales. And this place is amazing. But eating outdoors on the side of super busy Manchaca Road sucks. It’s so noisy. I wish there was a way to put a small patio with a fence on the side. Or even a better location..

Our first time going here. Staff was super friendly and helpful while we figured it out. They have four different salsas to choose from. You have to pay for the chips and salsa. Wouldn't say this was the best Mexican food I've eaten but it was good and want to go back and try some of the other options. My wife got the cheeseburger and it was surprisingly really good.

BEST places for tasty Tamales. We always get the veggie ones with avacado salsa and it's warm and comfy!!! Price is excellent too. It's a little difficult to get to the restaurant, due to construction, but 100% worth it!!!

Anytime I’m down this way (I live in Austin) I try to get food from Mi Ranchito. One of my favorite spots, not only in Manchaca, but in general. I get the super breakfast taco (which is basically a big burrito) and it’s always super delicious and filling. The folks are always very nice in here as well. Definitely recommend!

We LOVE their tamales! The avocado salsa and pickled habanero/onions go perfectly!! Rajas, moist pork, chicken, veggie!!! It’s all aswesome! We have had all flavors they offer and each is generous, moist, and flavorful. We drive an hour to get them! I had a party once where I brought 5 dozen assorted and there were NONE left with in 30 min. Everyone asked where they could get some. A real gem!

Nasty tamales. No flavor. We got pork. Too expensive for this quality of tamales. I wanted to just throw them in the trash but felt guilty for thinking so. I gave them away. Nobody knows how to make tamales. I mean I do but I’m too lazy. It’s sad HEB makes a better pork tamale. Actually thank goodness for HEB

I've been meaning to write a review about the tamales since I got them for Christmas. I got a dozen pork, a dozen green chicken and a dozen refried beans. Now the pork tamales were good. I would get them again. The refried beans were not good at all. I don't know if those had masa wrapped around them but they all seemed to be nothing but beans. I could've saved money and gotten some beans on the side by themselves. The green chicken tamales were just dry. They had a nice flavor but were dry and not a lot of filling. Next time, I'm just sticking to the pork tamales.

A hidden gem. Very unassuming spot with lots of cool Austin vibes. I remember this place when i was a teen. They are still fantastic. I always get the chicken tamales and a watermelon agua fresca when they have it. They also have awesome breakfast tacos. Good eats and great service.

Popular spot for a reason 😊 Mole sauce had depth of flavor. The salsas are excellent - whether you like pico de gallo or creamy with major heat. Find room for freshly made churros!
