We came in to the shop late on a Friday and they were so kind. They didn't have any cakes together, but decorated a cake that my mom's day. Thank you so much Silvia's cakes for your kindness! On top of that, the cake they put together was delicious, fruity and light! Will be back again!

I ordered the cake for my sister's wedding and 2 dozen assorted cupcakes. The cake was delicious! The service was amazing! They had it delivered on time for a early afternoon wedding. I will get all my special occasion cakes from there from now on. Thank you to the young lady who was working the service counter. She answered all of my questions. Superior customer service!

Staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable must have been the environment. You would be hard pressed to walk out of this business with anything but a smile on your face. Nice job ladies and the smell of the cakes will make you gain weight. If your dieting maybe wait a week then start the diet.

Absolutely loved my sons Birthday cake! I’m not a fan of Red Velvet , but this cake made me fall in love with it! Customer Service was amazing! This cake was exactly what I asked for! Will do business again!

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely the worst customer service ever!! I needed a cake for my son’s birthday and my usual bakery was booked months out. I went to Sylvia’s to place an order. The only flavors they have for cake is chocolate and vanilla. Only have whipped icing. No buttercream, no flavors. I placed an order for a simple cake for 30 people. I called to confirm order 2 days prior to the party and requested a list of ingredients as required by the venue. They absolutely refused stating “it’s only chocolate cake and icing. We don’t put bad things in our cake!” This request has never been an issue with other bakeries. I told them that I still needed the cake because it was too late to find another cake and I’d figured it out. The girl called me back at work to continue the argument over the ingredients with an extremely aggressive attitude. I canceled the order and picked up a cake out of the case at Buttermilk Bake Shop in Petersburg. They are always delicious and great people!! Do not recommend giving Sylvia’s your business! Just awful to deal with.

We love Sylvia's Cakes! They are so moist and delicious. We are to the point where we just don't buy cake anywhere else because we know we'll be disappointed. Once you taste one of Sylvia's Cakes no other cake will come close.

This is now the "GO TO" cake shop. I've been looking for a place in VA that made good, delicious cakes, that weren't dry and hard, and who actually knew how to make a Dominican cake. I have found it! Their cake was so moist, not too sweet, and was decorated perfectly. I couldn't have been happier and greatful. I ordered the strawberry filled Dominican cake. A must!

Silvia’s cake is my favorite cake shop!! I have ordered multiple cakes from this shop and they never disappoint. The decorations are always so detailed and go above and beyond my expectations. I don’t think there’s anything this shop can’t do. I have also placed a last minute order with this shop and they were so accommodating. The cakes taste amazing too! Can’t recommend this place enough!

My husband got a cake for his birthday from his boss from here and I loved it so I got him to order me one! It has strawberries and I think pineapple in the layers and it is absolutely delicious! The cake itself is so moist and it's not too sweet like some cakes are. Will most definitely be returning and we're planning on getting our son's next birthday cake from here!
