I guess we will continue 2021 with the year of one star reviews. I have never had so much trouble working with a bank. I never in all my years had to call a bank so much. I feel like I work for the bank instead of them working for me. In one of my many calls with the bank I was hung up on by one of their customer service agents. Their agents are poorly trained. Several of them I spoke to were not even aware of some of the services they offer.

Good bank, nicest people, but has the worst online banking access to accounts. After you log in with your user ID and password you get a page asking you how do you want a 6 digit access code: by phone of by email. I always say by email then wait for the code to arrive. The wait is usual 5-minutes, sometimes never. Very frustrating and I will reluctantly close my BP accounts and open them in a new bank that has an easier online banking access..

Went in there to get a new debt card because mine was worn out, the lady failed to mention to me that I needed to get it activated for it work. Idk just seems like something you would tell someone but what do I know.

I’ve been to this branch twice. The second time reminded me of why i go all the way to Yorktown or Newport News. There won’t be a 3rd visit....I’ll continue to use Yorktown and Newport News

Well, I've been with this bank since they were first the Newport News Shipbuilding bank at least now over a decade ago (unless it was Langley? To be honest I forgot which one it started from) I haven't had anything negative myself then in over 15 years so I guess there'd be no reason for a bad rating! They're fees are very low from what I've experienced, with at most a $0.25 fee for using their debit card BUT no charge if you use that debit card as credit. Any deposit you make will generally be immediately available which is a wonderful departure from others like Bank of America. Staff has always been friendly at this branch as well.
