The store is clean and the front desk people are so cool. But don't try the cheeseburger 🍔 it was so bad. The blueberry fried pie was awesome. It was a locally made pie from the Valley. It's an outstanding gas station with a store.

Although they could not fix my flat tire that have been damaged off of route 81. The attendant kindly found someone that could service me and get me back on the road. Thumbs up for the attendant. Going beyond the Call of duty

After almost 12 hours of driving, we stopped to fuel up before heading to our hotel. Upon restarting the truck, the compression pump seized and the serpine belt snapped rendering us immobile. Without local taxi service and the late hour, we were stranded - until the wonderful clerk, Anna, called her husband Mark to rescue us. (Thank you again so much!) The state police happened to stop in the store, and after hearing of our dilemma, offered assistance as well. We were grateful for all the wonderful people we met on this trip, including the Sheriff's department who assisted us in getting the truck into a repair shop, CC Rosen for the excellent service repairing the truck in one day, Mark and Anna who literally rescued us, the staff at the Quality Inn who were helpful and supportive, and all the nice welcoming people we met as we explored the beautiful historic town of New Market, VA on foot (the only way to enjoy the history). We will be back to visit for sure! First stop - Caverns Mart to visit Anna again!!
