Will worked with me throughout the duration of the Corona Crisis(abnormal 1 year delay)(ugh). I finally picked up my transmission last week. Paid in full stamped on my receipt, in hand with a reputable warranty. I will update this info in a few months when I complete my '36 Ford mercury flathead pickup build.

The Strange Auto Barn took my 1955 Ford F100 truck and did a Manual to Automatic transmission swap. They did all the fabrication and modifications to the job right. Everything was done above my expectations. Every last details was done the right way.

I drove 6 hours round trip to this shop and bought a th350 that was listed as newly built and was given a price of $600 without the torque converter they were including. When I arrived they tried to get me for $700, not the agreed $600. I had to argue that and then even tho I had asked about payment by credit card well before I drove all the way up there they demanded cash to keep it off their books. I ended up having to go find an ATM out there in the middle of nowhere. After installing it the transmission it broke and lost 2nd gear on a test drive around the block. When I inquired about any warranty at all on parts I was told that because he had reduced the price it was as-is and there was no warranty. This wasn't presented as parts or an as-is piece of metal. It was presented as a newly built th350 with a shops name and photos on it. I suggest that you stick with shops who have their act together and stand behind the things they sell. Don't waste your time with these jokers. EDIT - Now the shop replies that I did not do business with Strange Auto Barn. The ad had the shops name, the shop photos and phone number on the listing. And I also have a credit card charge from their shop for $150 for part of the payment. Shady as hell.
