I don't like the guy that works at night, he's always hitting on my girlfriend, and everything is priced way to high

The auto service is great! Mike is a terrific mechanic and his office staff and mechanics are nice and provide quality service. The gas station, however, is another story in my opinion. It is still owned by the Chaney's but the auto garage is not. I am a relative of those who own it, and, while working there back in 1994 I was mistreated by the owners when none of my co-workers were and there was no excuse. I did everything they asked of me and I'm a college graduate so its not like I'm a dummy and would screw everything up but I know of co-workers who did. I did occasionally make a mistake, but, so did all the other workers and I'm the one who had fingers pointed at me when they did not. And, I have news for the married couple who owned it back then--I did not have sticky fingers! But, I know a co-worker who did and she didn't get blamed for it! The owners kids used to come into the station and grab whatever they wanted without paying. So, I am wandering who took the fall for the owners' kids coming in and taking anything they wanted. Talk about sticky fingers! So, if you're thinking of working there, be careful if you don't like to be slave-driven. These are not kind employers with a sense of fairness. They didn't even give me a shift differential for working the midnights when I did at least twice as much as the dayshift workers and there were two of them on a shift and just one of me. And, as far as my sentiments about the station and the owners go, the sentiments speak for themselves. I have not bought gasoline there since 1994! I refuse to buy gasoline or other products from people who question my integrity and my reliability without even checking to see what really went on in the station at that time and treated me like a slave!

All we did was get gas here and use the bathroom. The bathroom was acceptable and everything else appeared fine. A great view of the largest teapot.

Great place to get work done. Was almost in a bind and Chaney’s auto repair came through and installed a hitch for me. Fast and affordable, you can’t ask for much more than that from a auto repair place. Would recommend them to anyone.

After getting our tires rotated locally in Michigan 48 hours before, we began to have issues with a thumping noise. Since we were out of town visiting family, I called AAA and they referred us to Chaney's. I was reluctant since the garage sat behind a place by the same name that sold bait and liquor. But my husband, who's also car savvy, wanted to see them since he likes smaller shops over corporate repair places. I had done some checking the night before online and many posts mentioned lug nuts being too tight or too loose. After a test drive with Mike to make sure the sound wasn't anything more serious, they checked the lug nuts. Sure enough! One of the tires were loose. Being 'non-local' (and kind of at their mercy) they could have ripped us off, but they didn't and we were extremely grateful. Plus, we got to spend time with Earl, their garage cat / mascot. If anyone finds themselves in a similar situation we highly recommend Chaney's.
