Don't have to wait long from ordering to eating.

Food is very good and always great to go to a local restaurant.

Cozy small town cafe where the walls are wonderfully decorated and the service is good.

I have been to Viking Cafe a number of times over the years. When we come into the area to camp and Kayak, breakfast at the cafe is always on the agenda. The food is very good, and prices are reasonable. The owner is a gem, provides great service but makes you feel like family. She also has an adventurous spirit, if you do as well, ask her about her travels.

We have eaten breakfast every morning while we are staying in Argyle. Breakfast has been wonderful. Hot, spot on, crispy hashbrowns as requested. Servers are kind and helpful. Great hometown restaurant.

Good quick food, good service - and the cheapest 2 eggs & bacon with coffee I've had in years. Gotta love small town diners.

This is my favorite restaurant. The wife and I regularly drive 50 miles from Freeport, Illinois to have fish and chips on Friday. Best ever! The breakfasts are outstanding, especially the omelettes. Friendly and helpful crew. Never had a meal here that wan't top notch.

Stopped for breakfast. All the classics of breakfast were available, omelette's eggs, pancakes, skillets. They do have homemade bread for toast which was good. The service was prompt and our waitress checked in on us mutiole times. For 3 individuals, each with a drink and breakfast entree, the total came to $34. They do accept payment cards. I would stop back again if I were in the area.

My husband's hash was delicious. I ordered a BLT, which was fine and ordinary and needed mayonnaise. I asked for a salad, which didn't come, but I wanted to get home so I didn't let the waiter know. The salad was missing from the bill too, so I didn't worry about it. The kids enjoyed the animal shapes of the chicken tenders.
